no longer exist, and has very bad people runing new restaurant at same location ... DO NOT GO HERE, the original restaurant is closed, the one there now is the worst...save your self time, and dont waste it there.....BAD PLACE
ok i used to work there and this is what happened..... OK TO THE FIRST PERSON WHO COMMENTED ABOUT HOW BOTH HAD TO BE OWNED BY THE SAME PERSON ... THEY WEREN'T... THE PEOPLE WERE IN THE SAME FAMILY... BUT UNCLE GIO IS REALLY UNCLE GIO (REAL PERSON) HIS NEPHEWS ON THE OTHER HAND CAME UP WITH THE MONEY AND RAN THE HARDING PLACE RESTAURANT... TECHNICALLY THEY OWNED IT. AND UNCLE GIO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT... BUT UNCLE GIO WAS SUCH A GOOD PERSON THAT HE OFTEN WAS TOO NICE TO HIS FAMILY AND COME TO FIND OUT ... HIS BAD NEPHEWS HAD BEEN STEALING MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS AT THE HARDING PLACE RESTAURANT ... AND THEREFORE UNCLE GIO LOST BUSINESS AND HAD TO SHUT DOWN ... AND IN LEUI OF RISKING THAT HIS CUSTOMERS WOULD FIND OUT AND PUT HIM UNDER. THE OLD UNCLE GIO'S WILL NOW BE THIS DELI PLACE. I HOPE THIS HASN'T CHANGED YOUR OPINION B/C THEY WERE ALL HOME MADE RECIPES AND UNCLE GIO IS A STAND UP MAN!…
Best canolli's in the south.
When they had the place at Nolensville and Harding where the old Shoney's used to be. They did have some problems there, but I never could understand why they shut the doors. Several of us ate
there at least 3 times a week. The spagetti was sometimes over cooked but not always, and when they got the hand made pizza it was out of this world. The servers we always had were great and would apologize if something wasn't out or right.
We tried the one further out on Nolensville Rd a couple of times and would have gone back but several weeks ago we happened to stop in only to find that they were under rentavation or so we thought. So we went back by only to find that the phone had been cut off and noone seems to know what happened to them. Being Italian and also being from up North I found it to be very good. I guess if they don't reopen I'll have to start going back over to Ceasar's on White Bridge Rd, which isn't to close this was very close for me since I live in the South Nashville area. I hate they went out of business but wish someone would open up another Italian Resturant somewhere on Nolensville Rd there are too many Mexican Resturants in the South Nashville area. We need a little more to choose from. Hope they open up somewhere else cause I will return. Deborah…
stay away from this place........ terrible food.........maybe in New York Hungry but not Nashville. The worst service, the poorest quality food, bad advertising, misleading....resturant is now shut under the premise of renovation yet is less than 2 years old...my guess is their bad rep caught up with them....food is overpriced, over cooked, tasteless, too salty, bad tomato sauce........if there were a lower score than one star, they would deserve it.......…
Great Pizza. I visited Uncle Gio's for the first time last week on a Wed night. The waiter was very friendly. Complimetary bread was served and the food wait was average. We got the Sicillian Pizza and thought it was huge and delicious. There was plenty leftover after we were done too. The price was great for the amount of food we got and the taste. I would definitely go back again.…
