Delighted to have Fresh Market in Brentwood.
I shop frequently at Fresh Market. Their aisles are easy to navigate and the quality of their products are superb. While they do carry some non organic products, they offer a wide selection of items not available elsewhere and most importantly, I never have to worry about outdated products or the freshness of an item.
I also shop frequently at Whole Foods, but, they too carry conventionally grown produce as well as organic.
I would say for those who have the time to spend in Wal-Mart, Costco, etc., you should continue to shop at these outlets and not concern yourself with what you see as a short fall at Fresh Market.
Time, in addition of variety is a factor for my shopping at Fresh Market, and I can say, I have never made a purchase that I was not satisfied with. I find many of their prices less than advertised in the newspaper for other stores. For instance today I purchased the same tomatoes as what was offered at a competing store for 1.48 a pound less which resulted in a 5.00 plus saving for me. I also purchased Amaretti cookies which I find in other stores only at Christmas.
For those of us with limited time who seek the unusual, we very much appreciate having Fresh Market in our community.
Fresh Hell.
I work at the Fresh Market in Brentwood. All of our products can be found at Wal-Mart, Publix, Kroger, and some even at Dollar General. When we run out of certain items....we send someone to CostCo to buy sed item with our company CostCo card. If you would like to save money, you should shop else where.
(purity milk costs 5.49 at The Fresh Market, and 2.50 at Dollar General)
Not Impressed - Wal-Mart in disguise. Fresh Market is a well-played and well-decorated health food "hoax", in my opinion. They may be fresh, but they are not as healthy as you might think. Their shelves are freely stocked with products containing "high fructose corn syrup", "hydroginated oils", "bleached flour", etcetera. Even their deli and ready made sandwiches/pastas are NOT wholly made on-site (they're brought in on trucks in the morning, put out in pretty little bowls, and then sold by the lb.), and they contain ingredients typically found in processed foods. Check out the long ingredients labels, am I the only person who noticed?? Even their Sushi has high fructose corn syrup and monosodium glutamate (MSG) in it!! You can find good organic products mixed in here and there, but the same is true of Wal-Mart. I consider Fresh Market to be nothing more than a higher class Wal-Mart in disguise. I now go to Wild Oats or Whole Foods instead... where I don't have to sift through all of the unnatural foods that I'm trying to avoid in the first place. (By the way, I have also tried Fresh Markets in Miami, Charlotte, and Atlanta... and sadly they're all the same as Brentwood.)
Great selection of fine foods!. Fresh Market is excellent in every grocery category. Meat selection is superb with great meal ideas. Produce is fresh and delightful. Prepared foods are succulent. Floral department is beautiful with great prices.
