Owner is Rude and Unprofessional!. Blackhaven Wedding Gardens (Blackhaven) in Lebanon, Tennessee is indeed a beautiful venue, but the owner was one of the rudest and most unprofessional persons I have ever dealt with in my 10+ years of event planning experience. In the initial meeting with Blackhaven the owner was very nice and accommodating. It wasn't until after I had paid my deposit that she took a "my way or the highway" attitude in our meetings. She reneged on verbal agreements, lied and, essentially, stole money from my damage deposit that she had no valid receipts showing damages. If I had known what a nightmare the owner was going to be to deal with, I would not have been so eager to book my wedding there. You can read more about my story at burnedbride[dot]com.

Beautiful grounds-perfect venue for outdoor wedding. My daughter's wedding at Blackhaven on June 13th was really beautiful. She wanted an outdoor wedding and her dream came true. The grounds are beautiful and everything was excellent. The staff really helps with everything and makes it easy to plan a wedding there. The cake and DJ were a big bonus.

Beautiful Wedding Gardens - Great Place for a Wedding. My daughter married at Blackhaven Weddings Gardens in May. Mrs. Black, owner, and Christy, wedding coordinator, went to great lengths to make sure my daughter had the wedding of her dreams. We could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding. The reception hall was beautifully decorated and everyone was so accommodating. We will cherish the pictures for a lifetime. I highly recommend this venue. Our family could not have been more pleased with everything. Thanks again to Mrs. Black and Christy for all they did to make my daughter's special day a success!

Great place for a wedding. beautiful gardens, very afordable, package includes so much no shopping all over town, Mrs.Black and Christy really were big help. Loved the wedding

Blackhaven. I totally agree with "mom". They guards were awful and they did harass the guest. As for the dress of the guards, they should've been dressed more "classy". You can't help what you're other guest come dressed in, but if you are made to pay for a service you have some expectations and they did not meet those. I understand counting of the people, but it should've been done in a more suttle manner.

This other guy who wrote sounds like someone who works at Blackhaven. I would not suggest this place to anyone.

Different Viewpoint. I was a guest at your daughters wedding! I asked why the counting of people at the gate too. I was told because the wedding party had invited more guests than could be allowed, you really can't blame them. As for the security man, I personally believe he was doing his job when he stopped one groomsmen who decided to stop up the toilet as a prank. If anything, Mom, you should be grateful that you didn't have to pay for expensive plumbing damage! If I had been the guard, I would have made him leave. It was one of the prettiest weddings I had ever been to. The staff was, I thought, very nice including the security guy.

If you are going to complain, Mom, you need to say it all. I also want to make a note that why you were complaining about the way the staff dressed, you really didn't have any room to talk.....all the people in your daughters wedding wore flip-flops.....realllllllly classy!!!!

Horrible rude staff!!!. I am still in shock at how the owner and her daughter treated the wedding party, vendors and guests and my daughters wedding this past weekend. The security they hired harrassed the wedding party and guests all night. When you go visit they are so nice and then after you sign the contract they become impossible to deal with. My daughters wedding was beautiful but not due to the Blackhaven staff. I had wonderful vendors and friends that helped to make the day special for her. The staff at Blackhaven did everything they could to cause as much stress as possible on the day of the wedding. They required security and charged extra for that because we were serving alcohol but they were dressed horribly in black jeans with chains hanging off. This looked so tacky at a wedding. They actually stopped all of my guests as they came through the gate and counted the people in the cars to make sure we didn't go over the number. I even had guests tell me that they would question whether they had anyone hidden in their car! I couldn't believe it! I have had numerous past patrons tell me their horror stories as well. I would never reccomend this location.
