Editorial Review for Schermerhorn Symphony Center – by Jennifer Justus

In Short
With its columned limestone and long colonnade, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center reflects Nashville's history of neoclassical design. Iconography featuring the Tennessee state flower runs through the lobby while Viennese-inspired lighting drips with clusters of frosted globes and ornate nickel-silver. A 3,617-piped organ sits onstage of the European-style shoebox-shaped concert halls. The 1,872 seats inside these seafoam green walls may be rearranged to reveal a rich, 5,600-square-foot Parquet floor for Cabaret-style events.

Insider Tips

Where to Sit

For select concerts, ticket holders can get a unique view when they buy seats that will put them face-to-face with the conductor.

The Extras

The center's cafe will serve bistro-style food before and during shows.

Save Money

The architecture is grand, but the tickets prices don't have to be. Seats can be had for as little as $10.
