Editorial Review for The Works – by Jennifer Justus

In Short
Brick walls, exposed wooden beams overhead and the warm glow of hardwood floors give this refurbished downtown space an open yet comfortable vibe. While eggplant and olive drapes help partition the main room when yoga and Pilates classes are in session, two candle-lit massage rooms in the back of the space also offer privacy. At this feng-shui retreat, the therapists keep the focus on the healing arts with classes and treatments that nurture from within.

The Works offers professional, comfortable personalized service, reasonable rates and a warm vibe and a great location. Ideal for downtown professionals, artists, hard working city dwellers of all varieties. Melissa and Laura cater to virtually any massage preference or need from sports to deep tissues and in between. Through their mssage therapy incentive program, one can earn free 15 minute blocks for each referral made and that adds up to lots of free massage time! They carry Burts Bees and other great products and they are currently overhauling their Yoga and Pilates classess and considering the inclusion of multiethnic Dance instruction to spice things up. Visit the Works and get in on the action now!

Pros: Creative owners/therapists, diverse services, great personaliteies
