over priced for what you get. You have to be kidding! When I pay this much to go to a "good" restaurant the last thing I want to do is stand in line at the salad bar. My food was just so, not really that good and not enough of it. The wait staff was nice. They did an ok job, but the food was just not very good. I will not go back and I will not recommend it to anyone. In fact I have told people I thought it was over priced for what you get.

BEST ALL AROUND EXPERIENCE. I have been to them all(expensive high-end steak houses)(Stoney River, longhorn, etc.) and i must say this one is the best out of all of them, the bathrooms are clean as a whistle, and the men's bathroom has lcd tvs above the urinals, and the plates for cold items (the salad bar) , and (desserts) , the plates are chilled to where you can see the chill on them(im the type that notices EVERY SMALL DETAIL). the customer service is great, our waiter spilled my ketchup on some lady's shirt and he was very apologetic and she recieved a free meal. in terms of environment: they have dimmed lights, and kind of an old-english pub wallpapers and sourroundings.the waiters took a good bit to explain things to newer customers(like myself and my family) i noticed a large population of seniors dining there, so it was a very pleasant experience, and not as loud as your common chilis.

Wonderful Evening. My husband and I have visited Sperry's many times since it's opening in June. We have had a wonderful experience each time we visited. Each time we go we try to order something different. We have never been dissapointed. However, I think my favorite is the Blue Cheese Stuffed Filet! The wine list is excellent and so are the deals when they are offered. Service has always been impeccable. Oh and of course the desserts are incredible. Our favorite dessert is the English Toffee Pudding. Thank you Sperry's for coming to Cool Springs/Brentwood we needed you here!

Great atmosphere, unique decor, friendly service, cool bathrooms. Sperry's Restaurant has been in business in Belle Meade since 1974. It Is an independent family owned and operated business with a unique English Tudor atmosphere that can't be found anywhere else. Sperry's warm and comfortable atmosphere has three stone fireplaces and loads of beautiful stained glass plus a myriad of unique decorations collected over the years. The second location in Cool Springs is a duplicate of the original with the exception of multiple private dining rooms. The large copper salad bar is fresh and inviting, and not overstocked with too many items.

The menu features a wide variety of seafood including favorites like the Halibut Oscar and Seared Ahi Tuna. Steak selections include slow-roasted Prime Rib and the best-selling Prince Williams Blue-cheese Stuffed Filet, so named because of the famous guests visit to Sperry's in August of 2005. The beef is top choice and cooked traditionally on an open grill and the portions are just the right size. One can actually order a steak with a side and eat the whole thing, so you don't feel like you are paying for food for four! The wine list is not too big and fairly priced with multiple selections by the glass.

Other selections include Rack-of-Lamb Dijon, Alaskan King Crab Legs, and Deep Fried Lobster. For an appetizer, choose either Mushrooms Sperry, Escargot or the Smoked Salmon Dip. For dessert, you can make it a night with the Brandy Alexander Pie or Bananas Foster Flamed tableside. Don't forget to try a Cafe' Sperry's!!

Sperry's is the place to go if you don't want to go to another Steakhouse chain in Nashville. You won't be disappointed.

Another Success for Brentwood. My boyfriend and I met another couple there for my birthday, this is the third time we had been at Sperry's in a month. The food was excellent, the grilled halibut was very well prepared. My bfriend ordered the steak, alittle salty but otheriwse finely prepared. We all had the salad bar and deserts with shrimp cocktails to start, the bill came to about $320.00 not including tip... service was excellent, would defintely go again.

Better Steak Elsewhere. Four of us went to Sperry's the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We were all looking for a good steak (actually anything but turkey), and after reading the reviews of the steakhouses in Cool Springs decided on Sperry's. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservations (were told not to as they were booked that night) and was seated immediately. We ordered the rib eye, prime rib and bacon wrapped filet stuffed with blue cheese. The prime rib was fair, the filet did not taste at all like filet mignon, and the prime rib was all of 1/4 inch thick and tasted more like skirt steak than ribeye. At $26 per piece of steak I would have expected meat on a par with Morton's or Flemings, but the meat served was more on a par with Logan's or TGIFridays.

The fourth member of our party had the soup special (red pepper soup), which was all potato chunks and little pepper. We had to send it back it was so bad.

All in all I would NOT recommend Sperry's if you are looking for a good steak dinner. Take the time to drive to the really GOOD steakhouses.

Forget The Palm. I recently went to the new Sperrys at Cool Springs, and had a wonderful experience. Sperrys knows what atmosphere, food quality and customer service are all about. I got the Filet and Shrimp with a side of asparagus, and I was very impressed. The past two times I went to The Palm, my steak was burnt on the top and red on the bottom. Our server didn't seemed too concerned, either. Sperrys reminded me what great food, attention to the guest and CLEANLINESS was all about!!!

Disappointing for upscale dining. We went with a group of eight. The service was above and beyond. Salad bar was very fresh and not filled with a lot of unnessary items. But the food in general is average. My trout was a bit greasy. Everyone else seemed satisfied with their choices. We all shared some bannanas foster wich was very good. I guess in general, for the same price range, I feel a place such as Morton's or the Palm is better.

Mediocre. We went twice in a week. The first time the service was great and really overcame a mediocre steak. The second time the service was horrible. We had to wait 45 min after our reserved time. We bought an extraordinarily expensive bottle of wine from their excellent wine list and the waiter didnt even offer to decant it. The service was also rushed. It would have been average if it had been at Shoneys.

The biggest problem is that the steaks really arent up to the standards of first rate steak houses like The Palm, Ruths Chris and Mortons, but the prices are similar. A 14 oz bone-in filet that costs $38.95 had about 6 oz of meat on it.
