Phenomenal Dog Training. I would strongly recommend Kat to anyone looking for dog training for any reason. She was absolutely wonderful and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the Basic Family Manners Training.

We have two dogs, a puppy and a rescue dog who is 2 years old but has only been with us for 14 weeks. The puppy (Buddy) was well behaved until we brought the new dog (Logan) into the house who had not been properly trained. Their distracted, hyper and fearful behaviors fueled eachother and I quickly found myself over my head with dog behavior issues.

After contacting many dog behaviorist and hearing only that we should return Logan to the shelter, I stumbled upon Kat's website. She was positive about my dogs' abilities to be trained and was very calm despite my anxiety about the situation.

We enrolled both of our dogs in Basic Family Manners and I couldn't have been happier with the training. Not only is Kat extremely knowledgable and wonderful at being able to explain how to train our dogs, but her services are not as expensive as many others in the area and she is extremely flexible when it comes to classes. She was very concerned about the dogs health, even rescheduling one class due to the heat.

Training was indescribably helpful. The dogs loved going there. They were always so happy when we came back from class and they were able to quickly and easily apply the skills being taught, even during the class periods.

Not only are my dogs better behaved now, but the focus the training taught them really helped their psychological states. Logan was very fearful of everything. When he first lived with us he wouldn't even lie down to sleep he was so untrusting. He now sleeps soundly and is very much a normal dog, playing fetch and walking on a loose leash without being distracted. Buddy has calmed down from the point where he was jumping over the furniture to now where he will calmly lay at my feet.

Kat was extremely patient with my dogs throughout their training. She was willing and able to answer questions about their specific behaviors. Every time they encountered frustration she was able to explain why they were encountering that emotion and how to work around it. My dogs absolutely love her, her calm and friendly personality really helped contribute to my dogs success.

For the thoroughness, flexibility, positive attitude and effectiveness of this class it is an extreme value. I highly recommend Kat to anyone looking for dog training or behavior counseling.

Successful Postive Dog/Owner Training. Central Bark uses positive reinforcement and clicker training to shape a behavior which increases the likelihood of it being repeated. Upon acquiring my puppy I began researching training options in the Nashville area. There are very limited resources and we are very fortunate to have someone with the expertise and knowledge that Kat offers. Classes are small in size allowing alot of personalized instructions. Issues that dogs/puppies may be having outside of class are also discussed within class. Kat is very open to questions and truly cares about a trainer/dog team's successful positive relationship. Classes are very accommodating to a dog's need let it be a potty break or more familiarization with different types of surfaces.

I highly recommend any of the classes at Central Bark let it be basic obedience, play sessions, or beginning agility classes.

Very worthwhile!. Central Bark Dog Training was an excellent investment. Kat taught me how to work with my dogs in a "language" they understood. She was patient with me and the dogs. Because she kept the class sizes small, she able to take the time to get to know me and my goals for both dogs. She was encouraging and supportive when things weren't going smoothly. She was available for questions outside of class time. She truly has a love for animals and works to train them in a compassionate atmosphere. I would highly recommend her services to anyone interested!

Basic Obedience Class. We were extremely pleased with our basic obedience class for our greyhound. Kat is very knowledgeable of dog behaviour and we were so pleased with her gentle method of training---no choke collars or pushing your dog into position for a command. She was available for extra assistance as needed and was very encouraging for new dog owners!
