In Short – Although less than a block from the heart of Lower Broadway, Past Perfect serves as a hideaway from the honky tonks popular among tourists. While the 19th-century tavern decor and long stretch of bar keep it casual, the menu offers grouper spiced orange and filet mignon to draw a pre-symphony crowd. Proudly boasting no fryer, the kitchen serves bison burgers and wraps for those in search of a quicker bite.
Amazing food and liquor
by DrewSharpe
Amazing place. One of the few places in the land that infuses their own vodka and rum. The drink prices of these liquors is 3 dollars a shot and 5 dollars a cocktail. Not a bad deal! Food is very good as well, service was good, and never had to ask for anything. I recommend this to anyone.
- Pros: Homemade vodka and rum, Food, Service
- Cons: None
non-smoking??
by misterwilson
with the non-smoking law in place they state they are non-smoking. however, on a recent visit three patrons sit at the bar with the owner while pufing away. i refrained from complaining because i had already ordered my meal.
i choose to eat elsewhere.
- Pros: food and drink
- Cons: SMOKING!
Best place in town
by pisces1977
I stumbled into Past Perfect while working close to it. My co-workers recommended it one night on Karaoke night (Sunday nights) and I went in to have a beer while waiting for my ride. I fell in love with the place...the people were friendly (true southern attitudes) and the bartender on shift (Paul) was great. I don't know exactly what made me return, although it may have been the small-town atmosphere in a big-town setting, but return I did. I end up there about 3 nights a week and always see some of the same people who always greet me with a smile and by name. I would recommend it to anyone. Hint: try the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich. My favorite.
- Pros: Great atmosphere, romantic setting with candles, personable people
- Cons: There aren't any (except parking on event nights)
