Editorial Review for Caney Fork Fish Camp – by Susan Blue
In Short
If the moose, deer and bear taxidermy don't give it away, patrons will know they're in a cabin replica as soon as they see the red truck parked in the dining room. Families and couples especially enjoy the corner near the pond and waterfall. The menu lives up to that campy standard, with fried or grilled fresh catfish, blackened grouper and trout almandine. But the fish-phobic will be happy with roasted chicken or pot roast.

I came to Nashville to attend a conference and a couple of my co-workers spotted this restaurant ten minutes from the convention center. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!!! The fried catfish, sirloin steak, salmon oscar, were all AMAZING!!! If you like fried green tomatoes, I would recommend you starting there with the catfish nuggets. Please do not leave without trying the CORN FRITTERS, they look like hushpuppies, but don't be fooled. The corn fritters taste more like beignets (with a deep fried southern spin), you won't be able to eat just one!, I'm telling you it could be a dessert alone.....The food was so delicious, we had to return for lunch the next day to explore the menu further. The CATFISH SANDWICH is southern fried and to die for. I truly enjoyed the southern hospitality, quick service, and incredibly low prices. This is the best kept secret in Nashville!!!!!!!!
Pros: clean, quick service

Went there Mother's Day. My wife's ground beef was over cooked, as in black and crunchy. We ordered medium well. When they brought her new plate, they neglected to bring her beans back. When we ordered the appetizers, fried green tomatoes, I ended up with one slice in my lap. After all this, as we were getting readey to leave, one of the waitresses dropped a glass on the floor. She picked it up and not only did she continue to use it for a customer's drink, she dipped the fresh off the floor glass into the ice bin, thereby contamintating the whole ice bin. We will not return
