Editorial Review for Relache at Gaylord Opryland – by Susan Blue
In Short
Patrons enter this retreat through the hotel's lush Cascades section and ascend to the second floor. The spa has an open but intimate vibe, thanks to high ceilings, warm tones and marble accents. Lots of hotel guests use the facilities, but the posh services appeal to locals, too. Standout treatments include the anti-aging Gaylord Glow facial and the aromatic Chai tea body treatment, a mud mask designed to detoxify and nourish the skin with minerals.

I have been to many spas and get spa services regularly. My friend and I came to Gaylord for a special weekend. The pedicures my friend and I had were very nice ,and the ladies that did them were very friendly but I will say compared to others I have had for the time spent and especially the price I would not go back unless it was someone else's treat. For any pedicure over $60.00, I would expect each pedicure to have major massage and to take at least 90 min. plus my polish chipped after 3 days and I even take care of my feet . The massage I got was good and the hot towels are a nice touch. They use the same products that I have with my regular pedicure for $55.- We enjoyed getting our pedicures together and I realize that it is in a high end resort hotel, but I felt it was a little over the top for the price. I would expect it to be the most fantastic pedicure with really special, extra treatment for the price. Money does not come easily to me so I have high expectations for the money spent. The pricing was the deterrent for not trying any of the other services. The environment was nice . We thought it was funny that they were playing rock and that the manicure, pedicure area was in the hair salon and not in the spa area where it was way more serene.

i went to Relache New Years Eve to get my hair and make up done...the prices are expensive but it was great. the workers were very nice. I was also very pleased with my hair and make up, as was my boyfriend. I cant wait to go back.
Pros: all together great.
Cons: prices
