Awesome food!.
Absolutely delicious Indian cuisine. I've never eaten from the buffet (I see some of the reviews are less-than favorable toward the buffet) but I can tell you that the regular menu is stellar.
Everything I've ordered has been excellent. I love the chicken Makhani-simply amazing.
Great folks that run this restaurant. I always appreciate businesses that appreciate their clients.…
Delicious authentic Indian cuisine at an affordable price.
I LOVE the variety of food offered at this neat little place off of Charlotte Pike. Great friendly staff with outstanding customer service, relaxing dining environment and ample seating. The
exterior (outside the restaurant) leaves much to be desired, but don't let it fool you from trying it out!
Its is definately one of the few places I always take friends to when they are visiting from out of town, and it never fails to impress any picky palate. The menu is very diverse, the food well prepared and the seasoning and selection of spices used is very authentic! The portions served are very generous as well, so I always end up taking it home.
I have never tried their buffet, though i have seen it. The selection is small, so as previous posters may have mentioned, it may not be the best in town. For a great Indian buffet, I recommend Sitar.
However, for other Indian dishes on their regular dine in/ take out menu, this is GREAT and simply delicious! I like it much more than Sitar's general menu ( not buffet), and I hihgly recommend it to anyone who loves great authentic Indian cuisine.
If you are looking for a decent buffet, go to Sitar. For non-buffet dining, check out this gem of a place in Nashville!…
Very disappointed..
I went at 1pm on a thursday afternoon and tried the buffet. I was the only person there.
The buffet is very small and overall the food was bland and flavorless. The naan was old and rubbery, the chicken curry was watery and bland. The pakora was decent - but I wouldn't go back.
The service was great, but the food was just not worth returning to. There are so many other great indian places in Nashville.…
Poor Consistency, Not enough flavor. Did I visit at the wrong day and time? I read the previous reviews and headed to this restuarant with high hopes of having Good Indian food. I am from a Texas city that has GREAT food of all types and I have Indian friends who sometimes cook for me, so maybe I am too picky. I had the buffet and I tried plain rice, eggplant, chicken curry, dal, and vegetable pakoras. The eggplant lacked salt. The chicken curry had a very thin consistency. The dal lacked salt and other seasoning. The vegetable pakoras was good and the white rice were OK. There was also a pea and potato dish that lacked flavor and had a very thin consistency. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is used to eating good/great, high quality Indian food. You are better off getting the frozen Indian dinners from the grocery store. You get what you pay for!…
Best Indian Restaurant in Nashville. The food was very good, very friendly, prompt and helpful service. The curry was very thick and full of flavor, and it was reasonably priced, probably the least expensive Indian restaurant in Nashville. Make sure you visit at least once when you're in Nashville, you won't be dissapointed!…
