Overall horrible customer service and food, one star is kind – Horrible experience. I recommened Brentwood Grille to a friend as a good place for a lunch meeting. Server was unfriendly. We both ordered the grouper. While taking our first bites we both realized the grouper had a horrible smell. When I informed the manager he said he would not charge us for the grouper. Wow, thanks for not charging me for the spoiled fish. Replacement food was okay but the manager did not seem to care that I was just served a meal that would most likely make me sick. The prices are too high also. Overall a horrible experience.
What a Disappointment – We have given the Brentwood Grille two chances, and both times were very disappointing. The food is mediocre and bland and doesn't even come close to justifying the high prices. Both times we went, the restaurant was all but empty, so I guess most people have already figured out that there are many better places to spend your money in the area.
Burnt Steak – I went to dinner with my daughter and her boyfriend. The salad and bread was good but my shrimp dish was discribed as having a mango and coconut sauce and it came with coctail sause. My daughter's meal did not taste good. She had Lobster in a can and the alfredo and marinaria sauces did not tast e any better than a less expensive resturant. My daughter's boyfriend steak was chargrilled and i mean charred. We sent it back and it came back not as burnt but it was not cooked. It was more a medium rare and he wanted mediun well. He put sauces on it and it but still tasted burnt. I could smell the burnt smell. The Manager did come by the first time and he did check but the second time we did not say anything.The Rielsing wine tasted more like chardinay ( dryer than a riesling). Tea and soft drinks were not refilled either until we asked We were disappointerd in the quality of food. Atmostphere is nice.
Disappointing – I made reservations for a Sunday brunch for $10.95/person for our family Easter dinner. After we were seated I was confused because I didn't see a buffet. I was told that it was canceled last week. I felt extremely disappointed that no one communicated this to me before or after I made my reservation. After we ordered we were told that the salads would be a little slow because all the salad ingredients were frozen. Then we got our meals (without salads) except for one. My grandmother did not get her meal until about 10-15 minutes after everyone else. We did not receive any type of compensation for the meal that was late or for the salads we did not receive that were included as a side item with an entree. We left feeling very disappointed with the meal even though the restaurant was pretty and our serve was attentive.
Disappointed in the Service – I have tried to support local restaurants in Brentwood mainly because I live here. When Brentwood Grill took over Pargos I felt it was a good change. However, the last few visits have turned out not to be so great when it came to the cold food and slow service. We had three people ordering drinks and appetizers the service was so slow and the drinks were awful. It took two tries to get a glass of wine, the bartender didn't know what VO was and the coke in the drinks was flat. Our food came out cold and dried out which made it worse. Last week I attempted to take a friend out for dinner and we sat down to find our waitress very nice but the service was a bit slow. I tried ordering a Chardonnay only to find they were out, then I tried a Rosa and was told that was gone as well and then I asked for a Reisling. The Reisling came which turned out to be a Chardonnay so I then asked for the same Merlot my friend was drinking to find out that he had gotten the last glass. So on the fifth attempt the waitress found a Merlot for me to drink with dinner. When it came to the food it was less than desireable and my salad which was the Lake House steak salad came to the table very rare which I asked for medium well. It of course had to be sent back once I found our waitress and then it took another fifteen minutes to get it back. In the meantime the person I was having dinner with was trying to wait but his food was getting cold. Once I received my salad the waitress never returned back until after we had finished to see if everything was ok. During the process of our meal another staff member proceded to clean the floors while we were trying to eat. I do truly understand you have to clean but you can at least wait until there isn't anyone around. We received our bill without any apology and I felt that at least the Manager could have come over and said something. I didn't expect a free meal but I did expect someone to acknowledge what had happened. I will not go back to eat.
servers need new jobs – The service here was terrible. Very unfriendly. She didn't even speak to us until the end of the meal when we were asked if we would like dessert. The lighting is hard to deal with. Several of us are in our twenties with excellent vision and we couldn't see the menus. Food is okay. I had a steak sandwich which was full of nasty gristle. Everyone else's food was unimpressive but not awful. Beware the "garlic mashed potatoes" There was no garlicky taste but plenty of jalapeno taste. I definitely won't be returning here.
