This lunchtime favorite just off of busy Lower Broadway serves spicy Southwestern fare that lives up to its hot pepper-inspired name. The signature item is the build-your-own burrito. Guests choose a 10-, 12- or 15-inch tortilla and fill it with meat or vegetables and five different kinds of salsas. Other menu options include quesadillas, taco salads and fish tacos, which are served on corn tortillas with cilantro, creamy sauce and breaded fish.

I'm new to town and a co-worker of mine immediately recommended The Chile Burrito Co. It was so enthusiastic I was a little hesitant and thought they must be getting kickbacks. I soon found out a. they were absolutely right, and b. they weren't getting kickbacks; its that good. I am a huge fan of the steak burrito and taco salad. Everything I have eaten there has been tasty, fresh, and hot. The steak burrito actually tastes like a steak burrito. I have been place after place that you get an average quick meal. So when i tasted the steak burrito that tasted like i grilled the steak myself - which is saying something - I didn't know what to say. I would highly recommend The Chile burrito company. Thanks!!!
Pros: STEAK BURRITO
Cons: too much of my budget going to gas and not Chile Burrito!

The food is over-rated and I am surprised by all the reviews - so take this as 1 opinion. I just don't think this food compares with Baja Burrito, Moe's, Las Palmas or La Hacienda. The Chicken is dry, the cheese isn't even mexican cheese - it's a piece of meunster, seriously on a burrito? I will not be trying it again and the service was sub par at best.
