What People Are Saying About Flying Horse Restaurant

In Short – In this huge space just outside the Factory shopping arcade, Brentwood and Franklin professionals and their families fill up two spacious dining rooms. Guests enter through a small, low-lit foyer. While those behind Wild Iris and Yellow Porch also run Flying Horse, don't expect the same kind of menu. Specials of the day are usually inventive enough--think crispy Cornish hens atop creamy pasta--to complement the conservative menu. Desserts include a sinfully rich flourless chocolate torte.

The food was okay we ordered from the bar menu and ate outside, the food was not terrible just okay the issue with this restaurant is the lack of wait service, just terribel it ruined the entire experience and our meal.
- Pros: Outdoor dinning
- Cons: absolutely no service what so ever
The service is horrible and the food is below average (need to know anything else?)

Lord knows I have given this place more chances than my Ex-Husband. At the end of the day the food ain't good and the service is less than average. The location is great, the outdoor dinning area is wonderful this place has soooo much potential, but what the heck, the food and service is a complete let down. We went there for my Husband's birthday, what a fisco that was, we could not get waited on, we have reservations and they were totally unprepared for a party of 20.
The food is average bar food, lots of fried items, and the old bar standards. The drinks are good if you can flag someone down and get one.
- Pros: Outdoor dinning, location
- Cons: lack of any service, friend cheap bar food,

Let me preface this preview by stating that I visited the restaurant a few years ago. If it is under new management or has a new cook staff, this review is probably irrelevant. This restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague who had eaten there the previous week and described the food as delicious with good-sized portions. My experience was the complete opposite. This was the worst restaurant food I've ever tasted. It wasn't even mediocre- it was BAD. My husband described his burger as a piece of stadium meat sandwiched in between a flaky, 3-day old bun that you could find in the bargain basket at your local bakery. How can you mess up a burger?? I'm not sure if my "salad" even qualified as one- a few flimsy pieces of greens, a tablespoon of shredded carrots and one cherry tomato. I literally thought it was a joke. I think my artichoke soup was ok. The only good thing about this place was the location.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Food is beyond bad!
