No Service won't FLY with this horse. The food was okay we ordered from the bar menu and ate outside, the food was not terrible just okay the issue with this restaurant is the lack of wait service, just terribel it ruined the entire experience and our meal.

The service is horrible and the food is below average (need to know anything else?). Lord knows I have given this place more chances than my Ex-Husband. At the end of the day the food ain't good and the service is less than average. The location is great, the outdoor dinning area is wonderful this place has soooo much potential, but what the heck, the food and service is a complete let down. We went there for my Husband's birthday, what a fisco that was, we could not get waited on, we have reservations and they were totally unprepared for a party of 20.

The food is average bar food, lots of fried items, and the old bar standards. The drinks are good if you can flag someone down and get one.

Wish this restaurant would fly away. Let me preface this preview by stating that I visited the restaurant a few years ago. If it is under new management or has a new cook staff, this review is probably irrelevant. This restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague who had eaten there the previous week and described the food as delicious with good-sized portions. My experience was the complete opposite. This was the worst restaurant food I've ever tasted. It wasn't even mediocre- it was BAD. My husband described his burger as a piece of stadium meat sandwiched in between a flaky, 3-day old bun that you could find in the bargain basket at your local bakery. How can you mess up a burger?? I'm not sure if my "salad" even qualified as one- a few flimsy pieces of greens, a tablespoon of shredded carrots and one cherry tomato. I literally thought it was a joke. I think my artichoke soup was ok. The only good thing about this place was the location.

Nice Place to spend an adult Friday night.. I will admit that the potential at the Flying Horse is not fully realized, but I had dinner there last Friday night with two other adults and we really enjoyed it. We all ate something diferent, and tasted each other's food. There was nothing at the table that we did not like. The food was fresh, and even the standard fare was prepared with a fresh flare that elevated it above the norm. The beer list was solid. I only had two problems with the experience: First, the server was overwhelmed, and we felt it a little bit in the begining, but to his credit it never showed in his face or voice. My other issue (which is very small) is that I had to ask for a glass to pour my bottled beer into. (this could have been a symptom of the server being overwhelmed) After dinner, we went upstairs to the Weathervane to watch some live music. It was a nice atmosphere without being too smoky. There, I didnt mind drinking the beer from the bottle. Great rooftop patio, and I am looking forward to coming back and enjoying it when the weather warms up.

Vermin Hotel. Please tell me is this a restaurant or a rodent hotel. Lets not forget all the fruit flys. I worked in a restaurants through college and I understand the it can be hard to completly control all pests. However, there is obviously not effort being made at the Flying Horse.
