Pathetic

by pWn4g3

I should begin by saying that my credit is just awful. So maybe it's partly my fault what I'm about to tell you. But anyway, here goes... **I drove into the lot ready to look at a replacement for my 1999 BMW 323i. They had quite a selection of used cars, but their new selection was scant. But they did have in stock what I was looking for - a new (in 2008) SX4 with a manual transmission. So far, so good. **A very friendly salesman greeted me after what seemed like a half hour of browsing. Mind you, it wasn't like the entire city of Nashville was there looking with me, so ten minutes should have been the max wait time. Anyway, the salesman showed me the car and we took it out for a drive. **When we returned, he offered to sit me down and work out some numbers. This part of the process is no one's favorite, least of all mine. But we went in and he worked with me for a while. He told me he couldn't finance the car without a co-signature. No surprise there. I was steadfast in my quest to get a car for $150 a month, so he went to get the finance manager. **The finance manager must have been busy, because I bet it was another twenty minutes before he came back. During this time, no one so much as offered me a glass of water while I sat there looking like an idiot. All the while, I couldn't help but listen to the rather boisterous staff talking to each other and using language that would make the most hardened sailor blush. I work at a bowling alley, so I'm no stranger to foul language and subject matter, but come on. At least tone it down in respect of a possible paying customer. There were no privacy partitions anywhere to be found, by the way. **The finance manager finally arrives and is annoyed before he even sits his arrogant behind down at the desk. I can see it in his face. Without even saying hello or shaking my hand (a sign of professionalism) he asks me what it would take to get me to agree to buy. I told him like I told the salesman - $150 a month - no more, no less. He asked how I came up with that number. I wanted to tell him it was none of his business, but I simply told him that's what I wanted to pay. He didn't even try to help me. No counteroffer, nothing. He just said "I can't do that." **Nice answer, that's exactly what a customer loves to hear. So, confused and a little upset, I muttered "Oh." I then told him thanks and that I would try to find a car elsewhere. His response to that? "I guess you will," at which point he gets up and leaves. He didn't thank me for visiting. He didn't apologize for not being able to help. He didn't even look at me when he told me that. **So, in case you can't tell, I am not a fan of Suzuki of Nashville. They could be giving away free Bentleys, but I wouldn't take one. I'm afraid anything they give me would turn me into an a-hole. **Bottom line, avoid them unless you like to listen to graphic dialog and deal with disrespectful "managers".

Waste of time... Don't go!

by TNhappyfam

Don't go! We went there after recieving a call about pre-approval for a loan. Once we got there, a deposit was necessary-something that was not mentioned in the phone call. We got the car; and ONE MONTH and A WEEK LATER we were called back to "fill out some more paperwork; it'll only take about 25 minutes"... LIE! When we got there, with our two daughers; one of them sick, they wanted the car back or try to get another loan. "Unfortunately" we got caught up in their 'game', and after 5 hours, got a co-signer and got another car (obviously we needed a car ASAP). Then, 2 weeks later, we get another call that we still need to "fill out paperwork"! This time we told them what we were gonna do... we want all our paper work back, as well as our initial downpayment, we'll leave the car and go home. Customer service is no good... VERY unorganized and unprofessional. Don't waste your time!!!!!
