I was very pleased to find a true destination spa in Nashville. I have traveled quite a bit with my career and have had the chance to visit many great spas, so it was great finding a treasure like Athena in my own city. The staff are genuine and very professional. I received an awesome massage from a well trained therapist named Roy who knows alot about his craft. I also received one of the best facials ever by Shawn Michelle who also knows alot about skin care and helped me understand 'my skin." I would highly recommend this spa to anyone who is looking for a true destination spa. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful and the pool, whirlpool, and sauna help to make your experience an unforgettable one.

First of all I have had many spa services over the years and Athena Health Club and Day Spa in Brentwood ,TN more than met my expectations. I went several months ago. It is one of the few where you can be scheduled on Sundays and Mondays and early evenings, besides the regular Tuesday -Saturday hours. The spa is open to males and females but I believe the gym(which is state of the art) and pool area are women only, which is a big plus for me. It is nice because you can also order food in advance, which makes for a very pleasant day especially if you come with a group like I have done. The service providers are very nice and professional. I have had massages with Joni and facials with the woman that works on Sundays ,I think her name is Cindy, she even gave me a courtesy hand and foot service they offer. The experience was very relaxing and nuturing. The spa providers I have had seem to be very knowledgeable about massage and skin care. I have referred some friends from out of town to them(for a fun girls weekend) (within walking distance,there are several places to spend the night)and I will definitely go back. The only con was there was a little mix up on the scheduling but the aesthetician worked it out for me. Sometimes they seem a little unorganized or they seem to have a break down in communication, I 'm not sure, but it all got worked out and I have always had a wonderful time there. It is so peaceful I felt like I had been on a mini-vacation! I would highly recommend Athena for a little R&R; when you need a little special attention. Call them for a tour and information packet. I am not a member at this time due to my budget.
Pros: Ambience, parking , variety of services offered, 98%of staff is very accomodating
Cons: sometimes a breakdown in communication with scheduling/ they will make it right, sometimes the steam room is closed down due to a malfunction.
