Editorial Review for Oak Bar – by Jonathan Flax
In Short
With its dark wood-paneled walls, beautifully upholstered green leather chairs and heavy oak doors, this high-style watering hole is one of Nashville's hidden treasures. Located in the historic and luxurious Hermitage Hotel, the decades-old Oak Bar serves beer, wine and cocktails, plus a menu of appetizers and lighter fare. Patrons can also order from the more substantial menu of the adjacent Capitol Grille.

Dear Mr. St. John, I am very concerned to read your comments regarding your unsatisfactory experiences in our establishments here. It seems we missed all the way around. Please accept my apologies, and consider allowing us to make things right with you. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you in person so that we can get things back on track. We will do whatever seems appropriate to that end. I hope to hear from you soon. You can call me here at the hotel, 615-345-7101. Sincerely, Greg Sligh Managing Director

Poor service, poor service, poor service. Oh, but the bartender told me that if they think that you are a "shopper" they roll the red carpet out for you. I should have told her off, but I tipped her instead. I guess that's why she's still there and I'm looking for another pre-theatre spot.
Pros: Next to T-pac
Cons: Bar staff
