GREAT PLACE!!. This was our family's first trip to Nashville. We were looking for a nice place to eat and the Aquarium Restaurant popped up. I read a few reviews and thought this might be a big risk, but decided we would judge for ourselves. We were completely satisfied!! The place is truly amazing, very beautiful. The food was delicious, not a long wait. The waitress was super nice. I had a "favorite", with white fish, fried shrimp, oysters, stuffed shrimp, and stuffed crab. My husband and son had the surf and turf. It was excellent. My suggestion is to judge for yourself. No complaints here. SO glad we went. I don't think you will be disappointed.…
Great Place To Eat!. This place was awesome!!! The food was really good and our server was really good!
Great Experience!!. I am a Nashvillian but had never visited the Aquarium Restaurant before last weekend. I thought it was a pretty cool experience for a Saturday afternoon with a bunch of kids and no agenda of what to do for the day. I was surprised to see the variety of aquatic life in the restaurant's tank and my kids (ranging from 3-13) were entertained. My calamari was great - previous experiences with calamari at other restaurants made me want to steer away but I am glad that I tried it again. I had a party of 7 seven so my bill was hefty. But, it kept me from driving to Chattanooga for their aquarium! The ambience was very nice and I can imagine the Romantics around town would go for the atmosphere. The hostess could have been a little nicer but my service was pretty good...remember, I had a party of seven. So, overall, I was pleased.…
Extremely Poor Choice.. I was warned by co-workers to be prepared for bad food. Not only was the food bad but the service was equally poor. I had a bowl of seafood gumbo that was burned to the point that it tasted like charred coffee, and the only recognizable seafood in the dish were the rubbery shrimp. The shrimp scampi also came with super tough shrimp. The fish tacos fell apart, and the fish tasted like it may have come straight out of a cardboard freezer box. My table received five dishes in all, all of which were sub-par. It was a laughable disappointment especially when we received the bill. We being from Nashville now understand the terrible reputation that this place has with locals. The high cost of maintaining a huge aquarium filled with exotic fish has to be the only reason for the expensive dishes. I'm sure in saying that money is not invested in anything quality when it comes to the ingredients. Nothing was fresh. I'm amazed that this place is able to survive, it's that bad. The tourist money that comes through Opry Mills Mall has to be the only thing keeping this place afloat. There's more bad to tell but I spare the details and instead urge anyone to reconsider dining here. Yuck.…
DO NOT EAT HERE. I have already reviewed on tripadvisor but with the way corp has (not) handled my concerns has left an even worse taste in my mouth. My fiance & I have limited time to spend together & were excited to have a meal in such a romantic setting. Reservations were for 6 & our credit card was swiped at 6:43. This means that with the 5 min it took to be seated & the additional 5 long min before we were greeted, we were allotted 33 minutes total to dine. Our server was terrible from the beginning & did not speak more than she had to. She did not ask if we had any questions or make any suggestions. She took our order so quickly that I had to call out to her as she left that I wanted to add a salad to my meal (I only knew about this from reading the menu). We weren't given bread. She didn't even warn me that she was plopping a salad in front of me from behind or offer any pepper. We were less than halfway through our dinner when she came to "drop the check" ,at which time, she cleared my fiance's empty beer glass & did not offer him another. We couldn't see a manager on the floor but found the retail manager on our way out. We expressed our displeasure & he apologized. This server had been there for 2 years & never got complaints, he told us. He went to the hostess stand to get us the corporate number & ran into the dining room manager there. He explained our concerns to him. The floor manager made eye contact but not show the respect to come speak to us. On our way out an employee stopped us to say that she felt bad that we had had a bad experience. She told us that our server had waited on she & her family before & was just as horrible with them. I attempted to speak to someone at corp the following week. I was unable to reach a live person. I have left several messages but have still not heard back from anyone. It seems that this company is in it for the quick buck & could care less about offering quality customer service or an exceptional dining experience. WHAT A JOKE!…
