Derek did an amazing job with the photos from our wedding at Belmont Mansion. Our affair was a very small "elopement type ceremony"; however, he made us feel like "rock stars" by the end of our event. The pictures are absolutely amazing, affordable, and high quality. When planning our wedding I wanted good pictures after all the mind can only remember so many things, but a picture can tell you a story and bring you right back into the moment. Derek did that for me when I viewed my photos today for the first time. My pictures exceed my expectations they are GREAT! I can not say enough good things about Derek but I will give it a whirl: professional, resonable, on time, creative, fun, open minded, flexible.

He Gets The Job Done

Derek was the right kind of photographer for my wife and I because we set up our times to shoot during our engagement, and he made it happen. He was willing to listen to our ideas, and then he incorporated those ideas using all of his experience as to what works and does not work.

On our wedding day, he was there early and everything went as planned. We never wondered where Derek was and yet he never bothered us during our reception by asking us to do this and that.

We very much enjoyed the end-product and would recommend Derek to any who are looking for a no-nonsense professional photographer who is drama-free.

Derek worked with us through the entire process to make sure that our engagement/wedding photos were as wonderful as they could possibly be. We live in Chicago and got married in Nashville. Derek made a point to always be available for us to ask questions, plan for the day of the wedding, and even made special arrangements for our engagement photo shoot.

Most people want a wedding photographer to know what they are doing but also not be set in their ways. Derek is that guy. He's been in the business long enough where you really don't need to tell him anything and you will still get phenomenal wedding photos. He knows what pictures to take and how to manage time whether it be a few hours or a few minutes. On the other hand, if there is something that you want; a certain pose, background, group of people, he will change his "norm" to accommodate his client. Prior to your wedding day, he will also give you a lot of "food for thought" on what you can do yourself to improve your photos throughout your day. Something that someone who has seen it all can do.
