great service and atmosphere – My wife and i have been going to best one for over 15 years for our tires and other services. I've always had great service there. They know how to treat you right and with respect. My wife and i Bought tires there last year and after a while we were not pleased with the ride, we called them up and they told us to come in and they took care of us, now thats the way you keep a customer happy and coming back. A big shout out to Jeff Campbell for being a great sales person.
Excellent Service – We bought tires for my daughter's truck at Best One Tires, had wiper blades replaced (both front and back) and the oil changed. The manager was very kind and patient with us, being women we know nothing about vehicles. The service was excellent. We will continue to bring our vehicles to Best One Tire in the future.
Great service. Just bought tires for my car, everything was explained to me. The staff was very nice and answered all my dumb questions. Very pleased since I know absolutely nothing about cars. I will be going back.
Try them again! – I recently had a GREAT experience at this store. I read the negative posts from years past, and would highly recommend giving this location another try. Apparently, they have new management and people in the shop. The store is clean, and I got quick, friendly, honost service.
Great Experience! – I went to Best One on Harding Place recently to get new tires and an oil change. I'd heard about their promos and knew that they would be able to do everything I needed done at one place.
The technicians and store manager were very friendly and efficient. They explained what other things needed to be done aside from what I initially asked for (oil change and tires). They suggested an alignment, air filter replacement, and synthetic oil upgrade. I didn't take the synthetic upgrade, but knew I should do the alignment and filter change.
While I was waiting, the district manager came to the store, introduced himself, and made sure I was happy with the service. A short time later my car was ready, and I headed home. On my drive home, I noticed that the alignment had left my steering wheel slightly off. I went back the next day and they fixed it in about 10 minutes, apologizing the entire time.
I ended up getting four tires at a great price, four free oil changes, an air filter and alignment for way less money than I expected. These guys were courteous and didn't try to take advantage of a lady that clearly wasn't experienced in cars. I highly recommend Best One, they were great and I'll definitely be a return customer.
work is not supervised. – caught them not rotating tires that they charged for. If you go to best one, mark your tires to assure they actually do the work....also while I was there, another customer had a similar experience finding the new tires not mounted that she had paid for.
If not an intentional attempt to deceive, it is shoddy work....
I have been their customer for three years because it is convenient, but no more.
Dishonest, Dangerous and Unprofessional – I went for a simple oil change/tire rotation a week or so before Thanksgiving. They said I'd be in/out around 45 minutes. After an hour, the counter guy comes up to me with a checklist of all these "supposed" things that need to be addressed with my car (ie - cabin air filter, which is a huge waste; tires, mine were 2 years old with 20K miles on them and several other items). I asked them just to perform what I had asked and why it was taking so long. He said it would be done any minute. 45 minutes after then my car was finally finished with no apology for the wait or anything. Two days later I was making a 600 mile trip to Virginia when several warning lights come on in my car. I managed to make it to my destination and had my car checked out the next day. It turns out, one of the technicians from Best One broke a lug on both of my front tires when rotating them, failed to replace it and sent me on my way. Even better, when they checked my air filter they broke the latch on the cover and disconnected a hose to it. I ended up having to pay another shop $100 to replace the lugs, fix the air filter cover and balance my tires because they wore so terribly by there being missing lugs on my front tires after only putting 600 miles on my car since visiting them. Overall an absolutely terrible experience, I will never be back. AVOID THESE JERKS!
Used to be a good tire store – I have to agree with the first reviewer. Once this place was a jewel. Older gentlemen gave you forthright, friendly yet utterly professional service. Now it is run by pushy younger sale reps who know little about their product line but press you to replace all four tires when just two are really worn out. They can't even be bothered to brew coffee for customers on a Monday morning!!
My How You've Changed... :( – I have always liked this Best One location because the guys seemed knowledgeable, fair, and most of all, honest. They didn't seem to take advantage of a female customer and didn't seem to keep trying to "upsell" me. Well, today, 11/08/08, was a different story. I hadn't been there in several months, but I went today for an oil change. They have remodeled their office and maybe they need to pay for the new furniture because the staff, none of whom I'd ever seen before, tried to offer a more expensive oil for my oil change since my car has 100k miles on it. If that was it, maybe not such a big deal. It took well over an hour for my oil change which in the past has taken about 30 minutes, then when I went to ask about it, a guy shows me my cabin air filter and how filthy it is and proceeds to tell me they can change it for $60.00. Ok, I've come home and done some research...first of all, those filters are located behind my glove box. I'm sorry, do you have to remove my glove box to change my oil? What if I had personal things in there I didn't want you to see? Secondly, since you're in there and have already taken it upon yourself to unhinge my glove box and remove the plastic cover and the filter, why would you charge me $60 to simply slide in a new filter and close the whole thing back up? You're going to have to put it all back together and close it up anyway. So you're going to charge me about $40 labor to put something back together that I didn't ask you to touch in the first place? Let me pay the $14 for the filter and MAYBE, $10 for you providing the service, but no, you want to charge me $60 and when I tell you that I don't have the money today to pay for that, you say, "well, I'll try to shake it off for you as best I can" I understand upselling, but going inside my car and dismantling my glove box, looking for things to fix without asking my permission or at least making me aware of it is just, in my opinion, bad business.
