In Short – This establishment features funky, contemporary decor: blond-wood tables and chairs; bold, multicolored walls; paper sculptures; mosaic mirrors; and nautical knicknacks like portholes and model canoes. Seven red-felt billiards tables sit at one end of the place while the dining room and the Blue Room bar are at the opposite end. The pool-hall area includes pinball machines, electronic darts, jukebox, arcade games and an ATM. Menu items include burgers, brisket sandwiches and chicken salads.

The front seems great, great entertainment. Until you go into the pool hall. Saw insects the first time I went, thought it was a fluke. Went back a week later because my friends like it there and asked me to give it another try. I saw several insects again.!!!!! It made me so sick, one was crawled into my drink, where he ended up drowning. The bartender acted like it was no big deal. They should have compt my tab but instead I got stuck with the bill
- Pros: good music
- Cons: insects in drinks
Best music nights

I was reading the other reviews and thought I should update some things. The old DJs are gone & the new guy is awesome on Friday & Saturday. Sunday night they have a funky songwriter's night of service industry (bartenders & such) from all around the city. Monday night is my favorite. They call it Blue Monday & it's by far the best writer's night I've seen in town. It's not boring like a lot of the other ones I've seen with all those people on the stage at once doing tired country songs. Most of the people play rock. I've seen some famous people in there playing too - like John Rich & the dude from Matchbox 20. Thursday night is awesome too. They have kind of a jam band thing happening with people playing all over the place (literally). The only bad part is the bathroom situation. The ladies room is by far the worst in town. There is usually only one working toilet - the others are full of tp. gross. Good thing the music rocks. It makes it worth it.
- Pros: Music. the new DJ
- Cons: bathrooms are nasty
Fun for all types

I was reading some of the other reviews on this place & am completely shocked! I have been to the Blue Bar quite a few times within the past two years. I have extremely enjoyed it every time I have went. The drinks are NEVER watered down & there is something fun for every type of person. Now me, I am the sit at the bar, drink & play pool type of gal. My friends on the other hand, they like to drink & get silly out on the dance floor. We always have a GREAT time when we go here because we can shake our bootys on the dance floor or I can mosey on down the hall to the pool table room & play a game or two. There's no cover. The pool is always free. The drinks are always good. Yes, some nights are more crowded than others but, all in all it's a pretty well rounded place with a good variety of people. I definitely recommend the Blue Bar if your out & about doing a bar hopping night. And as for the gentleman who left the comment about illegal dugs in the bathroom, honey if you haven't realized by now they're in every bar you go to! It doesn't matter if it's a bar in the ritzy part of town or the projects. Dugs are at all of them, get over it. How else do you think the bartenders & owners of the joints stay up so late & work weird hours?! That's just part of the bar industry.
- Pros: There's one room for Billiards & another for the dancing club type thing
- Cons: Vanderbilt Brats
