In Short
A clientele of 30- to 50-somethings pack this enormous, multiroom club from the small dance floor to the restaurant seating in the rear, which features a view of the Cumberland River and football coliseum. Live entertainment is available every night and folk art paintings of Muddy Waters, Carl Perkins and Chuck Barry cover the brick walls. The menu has a Beale Street theme: pulled pork and catfish sandwiches, Delta-fried shrimp, Memphis wings and gumbo.

I would like to inform you of the behavior, attitude, and lack of courtesy and concern we received from your Bar Manager, Susan Zoesch, during an atrocious experience we had at BB King's Nashville during the BB King concert on Dec. 9th. I realize that the fifty dollar per person standing room ticket does not entitle anyone to VIP treatment, but I believe it entitles the purchaser to at the very least have the PA speakers for the standing room section to be turned on. The service we received for our meal and drinks for the 2 hours prior to the sound debacle was courteous attentive and professional. When sound did not improve by the third song of BB's set (not to mention the completely inaudible opening act), I felt I was not getting my money's worth and asked to see a manager. The bartender (he was a young man with tatoos and was working the back bar) was very courteous and agreed that sound was a problem, and immediately went to get the manager. He informed me that he was already speaking to my wife and directed me to the lower bar cash register were Susan and my wife were. Susan stated (her words) "There are plenty of people up there with your same problem. There is a problem with sound." When we asked for a refund for our tickets and to leave, Susan turned to enter my credit card information and used a curse word meaning cow manure. We were well within earshot. We were absolutely mortified. There was no apology or any attempt to rectify any part of the situation. I am a lifelong fan of BB King. I was heartbroken. Shame on you for being representatives of one the greatest ambassadors of American Culture and Class, to treat B.B.'s fans, in B.B.'s club, in B.B's presence, so shabbily. I pray that the giant of a man that BB King is, never hears of how his fans, (and patrons of his namesake establishment,) received so little consideration, or courtesy. For Shame.

This is a great place to go with a group of friends for dancing and music. Admittedly I couldn't tell you what the food tastes like, but the bar makes a mean Washington Apple and the band is always good, the music is mainly geared toward a more mature blues, 70's loving, R&B kind of crowd. But that's what keeps us coming back.

I am from California and I came to Nashville to visit a friend. We made a few stops and this was one of them. This is a very nice place. Maybe a more mature crowd. Friendly staff, good music. A great place to have a drink, listen to music, and just enjoy. Not a wild or crazy place if that's what you are looking for. I would definitely go again!
