Um, evidently Mr. Harris's work ethic has deteriorated since the 2 previous posts because my experience was EXTREMELY different. Mr. Harris did seem very knowledgeable and compassionate when I first met him. He told me I had a case and proceeded to take me on as one of his clients. After a year of thinking he was working on my case, he sends me my file with a letter stating that he is dropping me as a client. He wouldn't take my calls/respond to my emails when I tried to find out more information. I asked for some of my retainer back and he informed me that I actually owed him a few hundred dollars but he would let it slide (NOTHING had been done up to this point). No other attorney would take my case since he didn't do proper discovery and basically the other attorneys had nothing to work with. And one of the attorneys I spoke with basically said I got screwed and that Mr. Harris has a reputation among other attorneys as being ineffective. Live and learn. Stay away from Mr. Harris!

Age Discrimination in Middle TN. When I lost my position with a company here in Middle TN and replaced by two much younger people, I felt that my rights had been violated. I was over 50 years of age and wonder who would hire me. I have had to start over with a new career and a lower income. I went through the normal channels of filing charges with the EEOC and received the appropriate letters to move this through the legal system. I had a limited amount of time to find an attorney and wanted to find someone to represent me as an individual. I met with Mr. Harris and he felt confident that there was age and gender discrimination with my previous employer.

Mr. Harris is an attorney that believes in his clients and represents them to the best of his abilities. I recommend him highly.

In Search of the Truth. My civil liberties and constitutional rights were violated in a way I never thought possible when I was falsely accused of a crime I did not commit. I talked to a few attorney's but none took me as seriously as James L. Harris. I knew when I met him I had made the right choice. I am sure he never expected for a case "as simple as mine" to become so complex but I hope he considers it a challenge, a case that is not "ordinary". Fortunately for him, I had accumulated a lot of data, evidence, names and witnesses, so all I needed was a powerful lawyer to present my case. I have faith in his ability to secure the best possible outcome, I hope to recoup my financial losses, though my case is more about getting to the truth than money.
