no longer in business. it is 6/08 and i believe this restaurant is closed and has been for awhile. the phone is disconnected and driving by the location the place looks shut down. no lights on, doors locked, and no sign up saying anything about being temporarily closed due to remodeling or moving, etc. it has been this way for at least over a month.…
Possibly food po1soning. Be careful!. I suspect that I have got po1soned from duck in this restaurant. The food tasted OK, but the consequences were pretty bad :((( Also, the waiter brought us two dirty glasses... I do not recommend going to this restaurant. There are much better Chineese places in Nashville such as Great Wall in Green Hills.…
The Best Chinese Food in Nashville!!!. China Chef never fails to please. The food is better than any other Chinese restaurant in town. In fact, my husband and I drive about a half hour to get there, passing many other Chinese places for China Chef. The interior of this restaurant is amazing! You feel like you have entered another world. The decor is intricate; from the ceiling to the wall hangings, no details have been forgotten. Once inside, you forget that you are in a strip mall. The service is excellent and has consistently been so for the over three years we have frequented the restaurant. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville, and I highly recommend it!…
perfect place to eat chinese. We went there by recommendation from one of my Chinese friends. Asked for a special menu, and ordered Crispy Scallops and KungPaoSquid with Dumplings and soup as appetizers. Both dishes come with rice so it was enough for two very hungry men. The souce that comes with scallops made us clear that plate clean. Everything tasted excellent, way better than regular chinese dinner buffets. So, a dinner for two with green tea was 30 bucks, 5 of which as tips. The service was excellent, just as it should be, without annoying stupid questions. Plates were brought and taken in time, etc. The only bad thing about this place is that it is far from where I live, I would heve visited it more frequent otherwise. Overall impression is that it is a very good restaurant with lovely cozy atmosphere. Servers and waiters speak good English and can explain dishes.…
Great place to eat!. We were pleasantly surprised by China Chef. We started with the best hot and sour soup I have had since I was in Asia 6 years ago- truly authentic, not the often sweet and too salty versions so many others serve. The Kung Pao was wonderful- nice kick and not over loaded with tons of veggies- a true meat dish. The 5 flavor broccoli was the perfect veggie side for this. We are looking forward to trying other items as well and plan to return soon. The service was very friendly and the food was truly amazing, hot and fresh. There is no buffet here, and I consider that a huge plus, this is a real chinese reasturaunt, not an americanized feeding trough. Eat here, enjoy the very inexpensive beers and tip well- this family is doing a wonderful job!…
