Does NOT honor terms of Restaurant dot com gift certificate. Beware! Although the Restaurant dot com gift certificate states, "This Restaurant Gift Certificate does not expire", the owner states that the gift certificate expires one (1) year from purchase date. She will only give you half of the certificate's value, a $25 gift certificate is worth $12.50. The food was OK. We will not return.
BAD. Wasn't impressed at all. I could have poured soy sauce on my shoe and it was taste better than their meat! Just not a fan.. Wont be back!
Garbage. a bunch of us went there for prom. We all had food poisoning and were pooping all nite!! we missed the dance and my date went home!
Awful. I went to Omikoshi to impress a girlfriend of mine, but instead it was an embarrassment! The Sushi smelled old, and my steak was like dog meat.. When i told the waitress my complaints she ignored me and walked away.. It was overpriced. My bill was $70 and when i put down a 100,they never came back with change! I will never come back!
Piss Poor. Nothing is fresh, the cutting techniques are poor, worst rice in the game. However the Hibachi grill is run by amateurs! My mom could do better..Be careful not to confuse them with the word teppanyaki, they call it Hibachi and any other word creates massive confusion and makes people start running in circles. This restaurant has about as much Asian cultureappreciation as I have cravings for White Castles.
It is not really worth the time..
The restaurant is ok from the outside. It has a cute pond in the front. But once you get inside, it looks worn down and old.
The hostess was nice and friendly, and our waitress was sweet. She did not know much about the menu. When asked if she could get Udon without tempura, she seemed baffled.
We got a spicy tuna roll and an Elizabeth roll. Both of those were realy good. The udon was also good. It was salty and smooth. The salads were your typical Japanese salads-iceberg lettuce-gross.
We also got the hibachi. The meat used (steak and chicken) was rough and chewy. It had a stale boy taste. My boyfriend's scallops were also odd tasting.
We liked the rolls and the noodles, but the hibachi was bad compared to others in the area. Not worth the time and money spent.
HORRID SERVICE.
Service was ATROCIOUS.
We made reservations (at 6:30)for a group of 12, 4 days before coming to the restaurant. Once arriving at the restaurant, we proceeded to wait for 30 minutes to be seated. we spoke with the hostess3 times and failed to get an appropriate response.... the first time we asked they told us they had given away our table because we were 20 minutes late (when we were all present at 6:30, with most of the party arriving between 6-6:20. the second time they told us to wait fifteen minutes. the final time i confronted them i was starting to get angry... the hostess attempted to avoid speaking with me, and kept walking away, not giving me any respect.
once seated, the hibatchi grill-man, didnt show up until 7:45.... he was not personable and made the experience unenjoyable
will not go back again...
excellent sushi.
i'm not a big fan of any hibachi grill, i've eaten at omikoshi's only once.
however, i find their sushi to be some of the best in nashville. it's my favorite.
i've never had a problem with the service. the sushi bar is relaxing, i never feel rushed. laurie the bartender is always friendly and pleasant.
pineapples in chicken teriyaki?????. I was invited to my friends going away party and I gotta tell you even though my tab was picked up by my friend I was still mad about my chicken teriyaki... I know the economy is bad out there and I assume food cost has gone up but when I order chicken teriyaki ?I want CHICKEN!!!!!!not PINEAPPLES!almost half of my dinner was pineapples...and please hire some more folks to clean your walls and ceilings!!!they are nasty!!!!there lot of people who could use that job.for now Im going back to Kobe or Shogun where they serve you CHICKEN not PINEAPPLES!!!!!STAY away unless they dump the pineapples!!!
