We Locals love the PUB!!!!!. For us locals, there is no better place for good beer, food, atmosphere, and friendship! The staff is wonderful and we locals love them all! It is a very friendly place for all! Other non-local drunk red-nks such as AMSMITH100 and BUDDHA100 please stay away as "you people" don't know how to act in public nor can you people handle your alcohol!!!!
All Around Awesome. McCreary's is a fixture in downtown Franklin. Their staff has always been wonderful and I have never had a bad experience there. The new owner is a gem and has been at McCreary's since its doors opened 7 years ago. Great food, great music, great staff.
McCreary's, my hometown favorite.
When the pizza place closed its doors years ago, I was bummed. I had no idea the new, Irish pub would become my family's favorite place in Franklin.
What a great place to bring my laptop and write, catch up with old friends over dinner, have a cider and beer with my wife or hang with my kids.
Franklin and Cool Springs has so many franchises. McCreary's stands out in the crowded restaurant scene. It is the place where I go to break up the weekly routine. A burger and a beer, fish and chips, the tuna sandwich, or the bangers and mash - you can't go wrong.
I don't give 5's, but McCreary's has earned a 5 over the years!
Favorite place downtown.
McCreary's! The word makes me smile. So many good times I've had there, it's really ridiculous. :) I could not imagine walking down Main Street without seeing the green letters, the lights, and everything that makes it what it is.
The food is good, the people are great, and the atmosphere is one of a kind. I have recommended it to people I know (if they haven't already enjoyed it) and would do so anytime. Great place to chill. Great place overall. 5 stars.
Awesome place. Always loved McCreary's, great part of Franklin. Always love their fish n chips, burgers, etc. Great people too. Wouldn't want downtown Franklin without McCreary's.
Concern over recent postings.
I have been a customer of McCreary's since it opened and have always been treated with respect. The only time I have seen or heard a problem was when the staff was treated rudely or someone was refused service based on their sobriety.
I strongly recommend this place but remember... A good Guinness pour takes about 5 minutes so don't get in a rush!!!!
Best spot in Franklin!. I've been going to McCreary's for about 5 years. Whenever I think of downtown Franklin, I always think of being in the pub late on a saturday night, listening to the Irish band play and eating the best fish n chips around! And the shrimp... SO GOOD. Actually, just all of the food is incredible. McCreary's is not only a great hang out spot but an amazing restraunt with good food and good service. Everyone there is so awesome and I've become friends with some of the waiters by just being a regular. My boyfriend and I love to celebrate our Irish heritage by spending our time in McCreary's, because we love it.
Love This Place. My husband and I discovered McCreary's Pub four years ago after moving to Franklin, and fell in LOVE with the place. It has small town charm, great service and the best fish-n-chips in town. We have become true patrons to the pub and love going. The staff greets us warmly each time we walk through the door. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Great Service, Great Food, Great Time. I've gone to McCreary's over 50 times and I always enjoy my visit. Last night our friendly server, Cassie, bent over backwards to accomodate a food request for my my wife and her friend. She pulled it off, the ladies loved the food and made me the hero. I'll be back soon.
Our Family's Favorite Hang-Out.
My husband and I love McCreary's. It's our favorite downtown Franklin hang-out.
Bottom line? It's got a small-town atmosphere that we've come to love. It's small, it's loud, and we go there so often that the servers know what drinks to bring us before we say a word.
I always order a cider. And almost everyone who works there knows it.
It's by far one of the brightest stars in Historic Franklin. And it's not because the food is uber-gourmet (it's not) or the Irish atmosphere is uber-authentic (it's not).
It's because of the sense of family and community that exists there. That's really the heart of McCreary's.
We know almost all the servers by name. We've got "favorite tables" at which we like to sit. And we love the live Celtic music they offer on weekends, though we usually go earlier in the evening to avoid the rush, and so we miss the music.
You definitely don't want to miss the music.
We can eat there as a family for reasonable amount of money, too, because we share entrees. (We'd all do well to cut down on the ridiculously large American food portions we've come to expect as "normal".) My husband and I will often split a burger and chips, which leaves just enough room for a little dessert from Ben & Jerry's (right down the street) or Ivycake (MMM cupcakes! also right down the street).
We are part of the woodwork at McCreary's and proud to be so. May our beloved, small-town pub enjoy a long and prosperous existence!
