Mediocre sushi at best..
Its better than sushi from a grocery store, but that's about it. If it were priced according to the quality, I would say it is worth a visit. I've been to reputable sushi restaurants and paid far less. They have more than 1 deep fried roll, which I find foul, that cost $11. Along with bento boxes at $15(arguably $4 worth of taste), that should sum up the pricing of everything they have to offer.
Not trying to bash the place, but I think the pricing is due to the convenient 4-40 location and rather ridiculous. If they got a bit more reasonable, might give them another try with some sashimi to go.
Definitely not my favorite. I have tried this restaurant on several occasions and have never been overly impressed with the sushi. The last time I was there, I tried tuna and salmon, both of which were mushy. Also, the rolls are almost all fancy, fried, and expensive. About vegetarian options: I have a friend who does not eat any meat (even fish) and she had a hard time finding anything to order. She ended up ordering veggie tempura, which I think she liked, but that's lucky because she didn't have many other options. Basically, I have made maybe 4-5 visits here, and each time I am disappointed. I think I will stop giving them chances.
Great food at a great price. This is one of the few places you can go near here and not end up paying premium prices for so-so food. The food is good, and there is a great variety of multi course meals for under $10. The service is not very good. They won't refill you glass unless you specifically ask. The prices on the food and the presentation make me give it 5 stars anyway.
Dirty Restaurant. I was here last Saturday and its my first time here trying their place, I sat aat the bar and when I was about to start a zzzzzCOCKROACHzzzzzz was passing to my plate. So I decided to pay my bill and just left the place. It was so disgusting I'm not going to go back to this place
Danger: use caution with your card.
My experience: dined with them once and got charged 9 times the price of my meal, finding out about it a month later from the credit card company. After it became clear that the error was theirs, they did not admit their mistake, forcing me to go through the dispute process. Yes, the mistake was an isolated event, but they could have owned up to their fault, absorbed the charge, and kept a happy customer.
***Their handling of the situation shows, in general, that they do not put the customer first***.
hmm. I used to go to Tenno all of the time for lunch. Then, as I was about to call in an order a co-worker told me they had just recieved a poor health score. Recently, I decided to try them again, after checking that their score had improved. They used to be very accomidating when I asked to make substitutions (b/c I'm vegetarian). They are not so helpful now. Once, the waitress refused to ask the cook to make changes and another time when I called in to place a to go order she told me that b/c make just vegetable terriaki without the meat was not what teh cooks expected to do at lunch time, i could pay $9.95 rather than $6.95! That didn't make since. I won't go back!
Yummy!.
I must tell you that I have found my new fave sushi spot in Nashville. I have travelled the world and lived in asia and the Super Crunchy is by far the best! The service is good and the staff is quite efficient. The building is older and not a whole bunch to brag about, but who cares with sushi this fresh and affordable!
It's a must go for anyone that is a sushi-lover!
Quality food and service. I always find good food and service when I come here. The sushi is fresh and tasty. The servers are friendly and attentive. I always see the same people working there whenever I come, which is comforting. You can get a cheaper meal than what this review suggests. I usually spend less than 25 for a dinner for two. The green tea is free and good, so order it. The miso soup used to be free, but they now charge 1.50, which was disapointing to find out. This place is also quiet and rarely crowded. Overall, a good choice for a quiet sushi meal, though Ru san's is still my favorite.
Best Sushi Rolls in Nashville. I am a very picky sushi eater, so when I first went to Tenno I got a hibachi meal and 1 roll to just try. The Nashville roll was the best sushi roll I had ever eaten, warm and full of complimenting flavors. Since then I have tried almost every roll on the menu and have loved everyone. The Shreveport roll and the Playgirl roll top my list! A definite must try for creative sushi lovers!
The worst Sushi In Nashville. I can't begin to tell you how bad this place was. The rice in the rolls was mushy, they place smelled like dirty socks, & the service was sub par at best. You couldn't pay me to go back. I have never just stopped eating sushi out in my life... until I went here. Need I mention they actually have a roll called the "Org*sm Roll" disgusting on every level.
