Love it.

I have lived in Joelton all my life and have been going to Mazatlan since it has first opened. My favorite thing about going there is the consistency in the food. I have honestly never gotten anything that I didn't like, and I am a somewhat picky eater.
The only reason i wouldn't give 5 stars is the environment. It's not very decorated, but always seems to be clean.
The crew there is pretty friendly, as we have never had any problems in that area. We eat lunch there at least once a week, sometimes up to 3-4 times a week for lunch and dinner.
They have excellent cheese dip and chicken and shrimp fajitas!
It is OK

It was Cinco de Mayo so we thought we would celebrate with some Mexican cuisine. We are from Michigan so we didn't really know where to go and we were staying in Joelton which just happens to have a Mexican restaurant near the hotel. We stopped in, the place looks like a renovated Chinese restaurant. The waiter that we had didn't say much which kept our options to a minimum. The food was OK, not great and not bad. Service does speak volumes if the food is just mediocre, therefore this place is mediocre.
- Pros: Food came very quickly and was hot
- Cons: Slow service, lack of service, mediocre food

I love the Mazatlan in Brentwood, so I thought I'd like the one in Joelton. Not so. I have never gotten a meal here that I was not at least a little dissapointed with. I've tried it several times and it's never very good. And unlike most mexican restaurants, service can be slow. They do have good cheese dip though. If you leave in or around Joelton and want mexican close to home, I would try Alteno in Springfield or the Las Cabalas in Pleasant View.
- Pros: good cheese dip
- Cons: mediocre mexican cuisine
