Best Stylist in Town!!!. I've always been extremely protective of my hair as it is has always been my best feature and so I was very skiddish when I moved to town and had to find a new stylist. After several negative experiences at other salons, I went to Elysium on a friend's recommendation. He told me that I HAD to go see Chris and since my friend has the best hair of anyone I know, I assumed that he knew what he was talking about. And he was right!!!! The entire experience was incredible! Chris is immensely talented and does a great job of really making sure that he creates the look that you want and that you are completely satisfied with the experience. Whereas a lot of stylists can alter the cut, color, style to what they like, Chris focuses in on the client and makes sure that you leave with your own desired result. I am convinced that Chris is the very best that Nashville has to offer when it comes to getting a great new style or experimenting with color. I recommend him without reservation to everyone I know and always carry his business cards around with me when I'm stopped by people asking who does my hair. Beyond Chris' remarkable ability, the entire staff at Elysium are always friendly and accomodating. They make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. So if you are looking for a new salon, go to Elysium, experience the hair-cutting wonder that is Chris and make sure you take a stack of those business cards with you as you will be stopped on the street by folks dying to know who does your hair!!! :)
VERY DISAPPOINTED. My sister and I visited this spa last Saturday for a massage. We were taken into a room together and told to take off our clothes and place them on a chair. It was very dark and the carpet was filthy. We both got into our cold beds under cold sheets. The girl who did my massage seemed very inexperienced or she did not care not sure which. She had a very irritating light touch that tickled and was not pleasant or relaxing. I told her at least 4 times that I did not like what she was doing. She did not massage my uper arms, thighs, neck or head. She touched my feet for about 30 seconds and my hands for about 1 minute. It was the most stressful unpleasant massage I have ever had. I just wanted to get out of there. My sister said hers was good. I would not recommend this spa to anyone
User review by spa_lover123. I had a friend visit from out of town and we decided to spend the day at the spa. We got a couples massage, facial, and body wrap. In the couples room we were feet to feet instead of side by side. The halls were very dark and hard to see where you are going. During my massage the therapist's personal pager went off 3 different times. She gave no pressure to her massage. She did not massage the back of my arms. Me and my friend were very disappointed in the massage but enjoyed the rest of the experience.
High Frequency. They also have this very revolutionary treatment for pimples called a high frequency treatment. It works like a miracle! I had a pimple before my wedding and they put it on the pimple and it was gone in 2 days. This was no ordinary pimple! It was more like a boil on my nose! It works with electricity to kill the bacteria inside the pore. It is the only way to go. I make the drive everytime I have a simple pimple now!
Great Prices on expensive stuff. Elysium is a hidden treasure for a deal seeker. They have trendy jewelry that most stores would sell for three times the price. I went for a massage but ended up buying a brooch, bare escential makeup, and gift certificates for my whole family for Christmas.
Spa treats Green Hills locals with unique treatments and packaged daylong retreats..
This spacious retreat has a modern look, with draped double-massage rooms that sport French doors and shiny hardwood floors. Services include the mini-European facial, a face massage intermixed with a steam treatment and fragrant apricot mask. Half- and full-day spa treatments include massage, manicures and other treatments and a light lunch. Patrons can dip in the double wet room that allows two people to enjoy a hydrosoak.
Loved it!. I had a mini facial w/ Sue and she was very good. I loved listening to the music that was playing throughout the spa. And I was seen within 5 minutes. Very relaxing and friendly!!
"Heaven On Earth".
Elysium, the Greek word for "Heaven on Earth", was definetly the best experience I have had a day spa. My husband had bought me a gift certificate for my birthday for a Full Day at the Spa which included massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, an exfoliating salt scrub, and a relaxing milk bath soak. On top of all of this they even served me a light lunch. I would definatley choose Elysium for your day spa needs.
p.s. Their prices are reasonable, plus they have great specials!
Pure Bliss. Daniel gave me the best massage I have had in years. The atmosphere is very tranquil and comfortable. The staff is superbly friendly and attentive. They give you the royal treatment. I have been to other spas in Nashville, but sometimes I felt like their atmospheres were clinical. In contrast, Elysium is cozy yet professional. I will definitely return.
awesome. I just recently visited Elysium again, but this time after they expanded. And it is so much nicer. They have double the space now and more services to offer. It definitely makes you feel like you are in another place. The staff there is so nice and helpful. They now have whirlpool tubs that are so relaxing. You have to visit Elyisum at least once to see for yourself.
