Best salsa around!. I love Mexican food, and El Ranchero is my favorite. They have the best salsa around, hands down. Friendly staff and great service. Their lunch specials are the best deal in town. Love this place!

Excelent Quality + Friendly Serivice = Outstanding Value. The staff is friendly cheerful and efficient with an emphasis on cheerful. Service is prompt, without making you feel rushed and the serve-time is as good as it get anywhere.

The salsa is spicy, without being overly burdened with cilantro - just the right blend and, as stated in another review here, the very best in town.

Their chimichanga is to die for. The pastry shell in which it's fried sets it apart from anything else available anywhere in Nashville and the portions are ample indeed.

I've eaten Mexican Food from San Clemente to South Carolina and this place take the ribbon.

Not so great. Take it from a food critic. This place is not as good as everyone says it is. I've been to every Mexican restaurant in Middle Tennessee, and El Ranchero is only a 7 out of 10.

best mexican food in Nashville. El Ranchero is truly the best place to get authenic, great tasting mexican food in the city. I've also frequented other major mexican restaurants in Nashville before a friend told me about this place. Now me and my family eat there at least once a month. The food is excellent, great portions, fair prices, and a great family atmosphere. Staff is always friendly and joking with the kids.

the best. i probably eat there almost once a week. i LOVE it!!! the service is excellent. the food is always fresh and the salsa is my favorite of any where. the prices are very reasonable and i hope more people find out about it so it never closes.

Nashville's best kept secret!. I eat at El Ranchero at least twice a month and love the food. The people who own/run the restaurant are friendly and pleasant, and there's very little turnover in staff, so the servers truly become familiar faces. The Mexican chili is the best I've had at a Mexican restaurant in Nashville. The service is prompt, the food excellent with good portion size, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. It can be very crowded (and sometimes slow) during the lunch rush, but early afternoon and the rest of the day the pace is relaxed. It is adjacent to the Capstone Inn on Harding Place & I-24.

If you love mexican then you MUST go!. I'm not usually one to get into these kind of reviews, but my fiance and I love this restaurant so much I had to do this. We eat mexican constantly and this restaurant BY FAR is the best we've found in town. We've been everywhere: La Hacienda, Las Palmas... good but none can compare to this place. The portions are incredible, the food is never greasy and always fresh (unlike some other local hot spots) and the folks there are simply wonderful! Service is always super-fast but nothing ever looks like it was just slapped on a plate and heated. The quality of chicken they use there alone is reason enough to go...never that terrible tough stuff most places have...always tender. I could go on and on about this place! I'm warning you: visit once and you'll never want to go anywhere else.

Great food. This restaurant is probably one of the best if not the best mexican restaurant in town. The food is great and the service is fantastic i mean the people who run it take the time to try and get to know their customers they treat you as if you were family and to me that says alot for a place of business. I would definetly recomend this restaurant to everyone out there.
