Tips for Hot Yoga

Not So Good. I have been to hot yoga spots all over the country. The choices in Nashville are really limited. Farenheit Yoga is definitely the best. It has an amazing studio (no stank!) and since it's new, there aren't many people in class, so plenty of room to stretch out. Great instructors too!

Aint what it used to be. New management. Feels different. No yoga at Hot Yoga it seems- now it is like the Y.

Teachers still great but you need more than one in a class of 75 people! where is PJ? She was the best!

Need I say more? They take as many they can fit in the room, before mats are down! (They never used to I know that)

Oh well, tIme to hit all the great new studios popping up. Sad goodbye Hot Yoga.

A Unique Yoga Experience. I began taking Hot Yoga after the stiffness of arthritis set in and sports injuries left me unable to take traditional flow thru yoga any longer. In addition, a faulty chiropractic manipulation left a clicking sound in my neck that was literally driving me crazy for months. Within two months, Hot Yoga had realigned my neck (no more clicking sound), my joints felt much better, and overall my body felt strong and flexible. I am grateful for this Yoga as it has an extremely healing effect on the body. After any given class you walk away feeling like all the tension, knotted muscles, and stress that you came has just melted away along with all the impurities that are sweated out of the body. I have never felt so rejuvenated and relaxed after any other form of Yoga.

In response to some of the older posts here that criticize the instructors and the space, I do not find that to be the case. Hot Yoga instruction is more intense but I do not notice a significant difference at other Hot Yoga studios, and I always seek out other Hot Yoga studios during my travels. I will say that these instructors could do a better job correcting form. I received some of the best Hot Yoga Instruction at studios in NYC and Chicago where the instructor is standing on a platform in front of the class and watches the students like a hawk pointing out the slightest misalignment. In the year that I have been attending classes at Hot Yoga Nashville, I find that the instructors have mellowed significantly, and that may be due to comments such as the ones here. As for the space, I find it considerate that there is a space to take off your shoes immediately upon entering. This is typical for most yoga studios. Everyone signs in at the front desk, which to me, makes sense. The space is always very clean and inviting, and the instructors all seem to very nice.

I highly recommend Hot Yoga! As an avid runner and sports enthusiast, I struggled with the injuries my body had sustained that left me unable to get that strenuous workout in that I crave. Hot Yoga has given that back to me as I am challenged each and every time I step on my Hot Yoga mat. Thank you Hot Yoga Nashville for improving the quality of my life tremendously !

Great Teachers and patrons !!. I love your yoga teachers! Last Wednesday at the 4:30pm class Nora gave us an excellent workout ! She's a great motivator but reminds us not to over due it. The experieced patron as well as the beginner can identify with her class. She also has a soft voice which helps one to relax during heated workouts. I also love Kelly , Heather, Cassie and I miss BJ . I have always found the patrons to be friendly and considerate.

Thanks for being here!

BEST exercise experience ever. I started Hot Yoga at a time when I REALLY needed something, ANYTHING that would be for me. I am a stay at home mom to a three year old boy. My mind, and body werent what they once were. I have a friend who raves about her experience at Hot Yoga and I have seen the results firsthand. I figured, why not?

My first class was a weekend morning blend and it truly rocked my world. As a high school athlete and chronic gym attender (I say attend, because I went, and went through the motions, but felt like I got nothing from the experience), I still didnt really know what it was to sweat. Believe me, that first day, I SWEATED. And loved every moment of it. I felt truly worn out, cleansed, and euphoric when I was done. And that feeling persisted. I was addicted within the week. I wanted to go everyday, and if my schedule didnt allow it I felt like I was missing a vital part of my day. I was happier and more energetic doing hot yoga. And my appearance started to change. No more retaining water, my muscles were getting leaner and my curves were tightening up.

After 6 months, I still sweat through my clothes, still feel euphoric after class, and still drag myself out of bed at a little after 5 am to attend those morning classes. I am SO thankful to Hot Yoga Nashville, and the staff there for giving me what I have been looking for, for years. I have decided that I want to complete the teacher training so I can instruct and understand my practice deeper and bring this love to others. I believe it has changed my life, and also believe it will be what I do for the rest of that life.

PROS: beautiful, clean studio, amazing staff, best class schedule of any yoga studio I have been to

CONS: I really dont have any. I LOVE my hot yoga practice.

What happens when there no competition, but at least it exists. Humm where to start-Lets go with what I do like.

Facilities and location - As far as getting to the studio and having available parking nothing can match that. Especially considering the usual mid-town Nashville conundrum of finding parking close to where you are going.

Let me preface the following with the fact that ive been to 5 different studios in different states and this is easily the worst for the following reasons:

Once you step inside this little pink themed cutesy girly studio you realize these ladies have some major control issues- that is signs everywhere: Put your shoes there, sign up over here, dont be too loud, and dont let me catch you sweating too much. Well once you go over the check list you take notice of the overpriced merchandise available and in case you forgot your mat and a drink be ready to fork over 8 or 9 bucks. Cha-Ching! And to top it off its 20 bucks a class for a newcomer or you could by monthly unlimited for $140. Cha-Ching! Well if you are hardcore you could lower that price to around 100 a month but you have to commit to a year. Cha-Ching! This place is def meant for women with cash.

If you are a guy like me you can go into the humbly sized changing room and do your business, im sure the girls have it worse off though. Once inside the studio, the temp is nice and hot (i do like) and you are smoothed by the warming budda music. Now set up your mat and wait for your femma-nazi instructor. Now out of all the instructors there are a few that actually sound like they care to be there but most of them just rattel on like a broken record every class with the same monotone cadence. One girl goes so fast it feels like im in a micro-machines commerical. Just let us have silence in the middle of a pose one time. I don't care to hear all you feelings about every pose. After having the owner Cassie teach class in these commanding tones it probs rubs off on the instructors The owner just doesnt get it and it shows.

The most positive experience anywhere in Nashville!. Where else can you always see smiling faces, lose weight, improve your sleeping, and always feel better when you leave than when you entered?

Whatever your goal or your level the owner and instructors at this studio are THE best, they work really hard, they keep the beautful facility clean and neat, they make you want to come back - or even stay for the next class. They really, really mean anyone can do this and they pay attention to each client. It's really very impressive in this day and age of horrible customer service and bad attitudes - if the world were full of good customer service and good attitudes, this place would still top my list of GREAT!

I am a former - very former - professional athlete who put on a lot of weight and could not work it off at the gym no matter what. I heard really good things about this place from many,. many different types of people and decided to try it out - and I was hooked. In two months I have lost more than 15 pounds, I have a less intense appetite, I sleep much better (a lifelong problem for me) and I am less stressed out period. I am not young (50ish), I was badly overweight, and I felt totally comfortable from the first day, in this place, and I have never heard a single negative word or felt anything negative at all at Hot Yoga Nashville, just being around so much positivity makes it worth going each day!

BRAVO Hot Yoga!

Best Flex in the City!. If you are looking for a clean, high quality challenging but all level yoga experience, as a beginner or more advanced, go here. I joined a month ago, and have been almost every day. I look better, can handle stress better than ever before, am more efficient in my job and feel more peaceful in general.

My hat goes off to the owner and her wonderful team of angels!

I LOVE HOT YOGA NASVILLE!. I love this place! Never did yoga in my life (gym addictt). Went as a total beginner, with my friend, who has been taking classes from Cassie (the owner) and her staff for over 5 years. I was skeptical- all clases for all levels?- It is true, they are and he got what he needed and so did I, in the same class, each "honoring our l levels" as the teachers put it. I took from several different teachers over the past 10 days and really enjoyed the variety in the teachers because it exposed me to different things. I have gone and taken an class here, 10 days in a row! I have never done anything 10 days in a row before! I think I am going to do thier 30 day challenge. The studio is hot, but it does not smell and is very clean. They have great clothese and cool accessories and play really nice music. It is bright and cheery in decor and personality.

Everyone has to try this place at least once. I already lost 4 pounds, am sleeping better and made a few new friends at Hot Yoga. Be sure to call Cassie, the owner with any questions. She met with me for over an hour (free) answering all my questions and making me feel comfortable.

THANK YOU HOT YOGA NASHVILLE.

The first and best Hot Yoga studio in Nashville. Best, cleanest and most professional hot yoga experience in my 10 years of travels and doing this yoga. The schedule accomodates any working professional and the teachers are enthusiastic and personable and very knowledgeable. Rather than rattling off memorized dialogue like most of these studios, Hot Yoga presents real yoga- emphasizing breath, stillness and the quality of movement and finding peace- all this along with a challenging physical format. The studio has a bunch of new teachers, who excude positivity and it is a joy to see thier smiling faces at the reception. The owner, Cassie is a natural leader and if you can, make t to one of her classes or workhsops or set a private with her and you won;t be disappointed. I unerstand they have a summer and fall/winter schedule, llike most hot yoga studios and are smart in offfering trials to explore which times appeal to the students and find good matches, which I like. I recommend this studio to all ages and all levels or fitness and anyone looking for the stuff that matters.
