The last four stylists I went to cut my hair the same way regardless of what I told them. James, on the other hand, listened. I showed him pictures from a magazine, and he told me how the cut would work, and when I explained the changes I wanted, he was happy to oblige. He give a great scalp massage while washing and conditioning, too. The cut he gave me works with my hair issues (curly on top, straight underneath), and he styled it in a way I could actually replicate later! As for the salon, it was sleek and bright: the chairs are right next to the windows so you know exactly what you're getting. The price was excellent, highly competitive. Two of my coworkers have even said they want to try James after seeing my cut! I do acknowledge that a salon is only as good as its stylists, and I feel sad for the former customer whose stylist was unable to work her into their new schedule. As long as James is there, though, I'm definately returning!
Pros: Sunlight abounds, price is great for downtown and excellent for quality of cut
Cons: Parking is limited, but there are metered spots on Division behind the salon.

I love Streets! I tried several salons in the downtown area before settling wtih Streets. Delishia is great with skin care. She is very personable and makes you feel very relaxed during treatments. She did my wedding makeup and did a great job! It lasted all night. James is great with hair. I appreciate that he listens and gives me the stylet that I want. He doesn't pressure you into something new and exciting like a lot of stylists. He also did my wedding hair and it was perfect! The people at Streets are genuine and will provide great service. I highly recommend it.
