TERRIBLE!!!!!. Place looks like a hole in the wall!! service was absolutely the worst ever. food was mediocre any way over priced!!! very small portions .... not worth your time or money.
Saffire is OUTSTANDING. My wife and I went in for our anniversary last night and it was wonderful. Our server, Joe, was very attentive and prompt. The Autumn Short Ribs as well as the fish and grits were to die for!! We will be back when my family arrives in town this weekend!! Saffire is truly a jewel hidden in the Factory of Franklin!! See you soon!…
Pretty good gig. Brought my girlfriend here on a busy saturday night last week...we must've come in at the perfect time because we sat at the bar and then after us a crew of like 50 regulars rolled in. it was pretty awesome with everybody joking and talking and sharing wine and drinks with everybody else (even us!). saffire must have a monopoly on fun for a restaurant bar. the restaurant floor filled up too, and there was a jazz band playing. they were pretty good, though no singer--just instrumental. liked the music, food was great, atmosphere was awesome, and our service was fantastic. highly recommend it for a good time and good food…
Great place to relax and enjoy good food.
My boyfriend and I went to Saffire on the spur of the moment on a Thursday night. The exposed brick walls, local artwork, beautiful old bar (hostess told us it was over 150 years old!) and live
piano player all made the experience memorable.
The speed of service was good and there seemed to be a general vibe of wanting everyone to be at a relaxed pace. Our server advised us that the head chef was from LA--where my family lives--and he came over to the table and we shared a lengthy conversation about the menu and his FABULOUS gumbo. The best I've had and I've spent time in N'Awlins, baby! And their biscuits are sooo good. I even asked for another plate--and the recipe!
I'd go back in a heartbeat. I appreciated that the wait staff was well groomed and that the music was live. We were able to make requests to the piano player and sip a nite cap on the lushous velvet couches on our way out the door. The bar patrons were friendly and the bartender made a point to introduce herself and had an infectious laugh. Good times!…
Half Price Wine Nights are the BOMB.
I literally JUST came back from checking out Saffire's half price wine night (which they do every Tuesday!!!) and I have to say that I was very impressed with everything about this place.
I had never been before (don't know why.. its in the Factory,) and I was pleasantly surprised. I hadn't heard the best things. People kept saying they had changed owners? The service was bad, or the food wasn't cooked properly, but I have to say that they hit it out of the park tonight.
Our food was fantastic (fish and grits,) our server was very courteous and knowledgeable about the wine list. He didn't even suggest the most expensive bottle of wine on the list when we asked for a recommendation (so annoying when they do that!)
All in all I will definitely be back... next time with a date.…
