Editorial Review for Saffire – by Mindy Merrell

In Short
The smell of slow-cooking meat pulls you into this converted factory, where velvet-draped windows and high ceilings add a twist to the dramatic dining room. Couples and friends sit at the ornate bar or at one of the mismatched tables and chairs to watch cooks perform in the exposed kitchen. The gutsy menu combines Cajun cooking with fresh hip-hop fun. Pit-roasted meats satisfy serious carnivores and grilled Gulf seafood entrees are treated with reverence.

The food has always been good especially the daily fish special, the drink are innovated and pretty cool (alittle pricey but good). The bartender is the best she is always friendly and the service is excellent. I love the Old Factory in Franklin... they also have good outdoor eating facilities. Gem of a find in Franklin.

Pros: Food, The bar, the Ambience is great

Cons: alittle pricey on the drinks and wine

The food is always consistant, the mix master behind the bar has some kicking martini's. The barbecue shrimp is great and comes with hot french bread. I usually get the fish special and my Husband ordered the pork chops on our last visit, which was (2) extra large chops cooked to order. Great food and cool place to have a meal.

Pros: Location, food, inovated drinks

Cons: drinks are alittle pricy

Funky fusion hardwood-grilled fish and pit-roasted meats make this a Franklin hot spot.  See the full editorial review.
