I don't think goloth actually went to Vittles when they wrote their review. They mentioned waiting for their credit card to be returned to them when they paid and Vittles doesn't do that. You pay at the register. That being said, I would highly recommend this restaurant for service, quality of food, portions and value. I've yet to have a meal there that I didn't like and they have always been prompt and friendly. Their selection of entrees and sides is outstanding. There's something for everyone at a reasonable cost. It's become a favorite restaurant of my co-workers and even one of my vendors always likes to take us there for lunch when they visit. It's just that good!

After reading of the high praise in some of the reviews I decided to visit this restaurant for the first time; What a mistake that was. 1. From the beginning the hostess was rude, not even looking up when asking how many were in our party, two, she proceeded to drop menus on the table, and collected rolled flatware from another table. 2. 10-15 minutes elapsed before the server finally arrived and took our drink order. 3. We were finally able to place our meal order after another 10 minutes which took 15-20 to return to our table, which is actually fast for quality food that must be prepared. 4. During our meal another customer got up and left after waiting 20-30 minutes without a server ever visiting her table even for water. The hostess could have checked on her or the server who was chatting in the unoccupied end of the store. 5. We had to repeatedly ask for refills on water and coffee. 6. Finally requesting our check we waited 20 minutes, if not more, for our payment to be processed and an additional 5 before my card was returned. This level or service would be acceptable if, and I stress if, the restaurant was crowded, busy, or short staffed. We were one of 3 tables occupied and there were 4-5 servers walking around and chatting. Perhaps it was a bad day for the server in our section however this level of service, or obvious lack thereof, is unacceptable and I will not only not recommend it but I will make sure others know it as well.
Pros: The food was outstanding
Cons: The service and the attitude of the wait staff was unaceptable.
