What is going on here ? ? ? ? ? My eye doctor ask me to see about cataract surgery so I make an appointment with Loden. The paperwork they sent described additional services NOT covered by insurance costing $ 8,000 - $ 11,000 out of pocket and told me to be ready to pay all of it up front. As an alternate, I had to release them from any liability for misdiagnosed eye disease to do just a regular cataract surgery and all but promised me I would have to wear glasses even if I didn't require them before. WHAT ? ? ? . . . . Right now I only wear glasses when reading fine print. Pretty good for a 66 year old ! So then I call to cancel my appointment. They did so with a smile in their voice, not even offering to reset it for later. Sounded kind of like this happens to them more than once per day. They may be good, but are they selling what I need or what fattens their bottom line ? ? ? ? ?
Loden Vision Center Perfect. I wish I had done it 10 years ago. I am early 40's and cannot believe what I have been missing. I looked at the clock in the room as I was lying down for the laser and could not read it. Less than 3 minutes later I sat up and could read the clock. WOW. Dr. Loden and his staff are wonderful. I have done all of my follow-up visits and every visit and experience is the same. Friendly and Professional. Definately a 5 star experience.
Wonderful!!!!. I had ILASIK last Friday. It was easy, pain free, and great. The staff was professional yet welcoming. They were very helpful from the first time I called to set up a consultation to the very end. I was told I could probably end up with 20/15 and by the next morning that is exactly what I was, 20/15. The evening of my surgery Dr. Loden even called me at home to see if I needed anything and to see how I was doing. That was like 7:00 P.M. Now that's dedication. I would recommend and actually have recommended them to ANYONE!!!. THANKS SO MUCH for helping me be free of the glasses and contacts permanently....
Awesome outcome. Thanks to Dr. Loden and his staff. I had ILASIK yesterday with the guarantee that I would have 20/20 or better. Now it's the day after and sure enough I have 20/20 in both eyes and Dr. Loden says "it will only get better." Everything he has said has been spot on so there is no need to doubt him now. His staff was the nicest people I've ever met in a business environment. If anyone deserves a award it would be Loden Vision Center.
So far, so GREAT!. A big thank you to Dr. Loden and his staff! I recieved the iLASIK procedure yesterday after lunch and today at the morning check up, I have 20/15 vision in each eye and it will only improve! Thanks again to Dr. Loden and his amazing staff!
Better Already.
I spent 15 months on Active Duty with the majority of that spent deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I returned to the States completely fed-up with wearing glasses. Having to switch back and forth between goggles, sunglasses and regular glasses everytime I went in and out of building or a sand-storm hit just added to daily frustrations.
I was driving into downtown Nashville from Murfreesboro one day and saw a billboard that said Loden Vision Center had "Top Gun Approved" iLasik. A week or so later, they were an ad sponsor on my Facebook side-panel offering a free iPad through the month of March. I had saved-up some money while on deployment specifically to get vision correction, so I figured the time was right to give them a call.
I went to the office on 21st Ave in Nashville, since that is the closest location they have to Murfreesboro. I had my free screening and actually met with Dr. Loden that day. The staff was awesome and their testing equipment was way beyond anything the Army ever used. I had a follow-up exam with full dialation a week or so later and then scheduled my appointment for iLasik!
They day of the surgery came and went so quickly. When I first arrived that morning, they made one final check to make sure everything was set specifically for the shape of my eyes. Then all of the patients scheduled for surgery sat and waited for the meds to kick-in. I was the 2nd person of the day and it was all over in a matter of minutes.
There is some discomfort to having your eyelids held open, but you feel no "pain" at all when the flap is made or when the laser re-shapes your eye. The whole process for each eye is only a few seconds... I could hear Dr Loden counting down and then saying "Perfect. All done."
When I went back the next morning for my follow-up, my right eye (dominant) was already at 20/15 and my left eye (astigmatism) was just about at 20/20. Within the first few days there was a striking difference in my distance vision... I could read signs from all the way across the store for the first time in a decade. It has now been 3 days since my surgery and my right eye fells great. My left eye still seems a bit dry and itchy, but should get better over the next few days. Overall, the clinic and staff were great and the procedure has been a success!
Wanted lasik, got PRK, couldn't be happier!. I went to Dr. Loden because my mom had Lasik done by him and really liked him. The consultation was free, so that was another reason to go. I wanted to have Lasik, but Dr. Loden found that I wasn't the best candidate for the surgery, so they suggested PRK. I got the surgery, I have 20/20 vision now, and I couldn't be happier! Its so nice not to have to fool with contacts and glasses anymore! Thanks Dr. Loden and AJ!
Great cataract surgery!. I got early cataracts from taking incorrect amounts of eye drops. Dr. Loden's office expected payment up front, which wasn't fully explained to me and which I didn't realize until my day of surgery!! My FSA account wouldn't pay ahead of time, of course!, so I was required to pay that full amount by check before Dr. Loden did the surgery. The surgery itself, however, was magic. Dr. Loden's assistants made me feel very relaxed and comfortable, even though I knew I would be AWAKE during the surgery. As they bragged, Dr. Loden was born with a scalpel in his hand! No problems at all, recovery was easy, and I still see great, 2 years later. Thanks Dr. Loden!!
Great eye surgery!!!. I came to Dr. Loden about 4 years ago for LASIK surgery. Dr. Loden was the only doctor who actually took the time to personally meet with me and discuss my options. He felt I was not an ideal candidate for LASIK because of "thin corneas". Since then I had the Implantable Contact Lens done and see 20/15 today thanks to Dr. Loden and his team of experts at Loden Vision Centers!! Thank you Dr. Loden!
