Good grief -- how polarized! I suspect a lot of satisfied customers just don't write these things. Nashville Pool has been helping our family with our pool in west Nashville on and off for the last 10 years, depending on whether my husband is away in the summers. They are friendly and helpful whether we have the service contract or not (though they are understandably faster in the years that we are paying for service). Are they perfect? No. They are busy, and you can find chemicals cheaper elsewhere if you're willing to drive around. But, if you need someone to keep your pool going, and you're willing to pay a little extra for convenience, expertise and friendliness these are your guys (and gal)..
Great pool supply store/pool Co.. I have used Nashville Pool co. for about 15 years. I do the weekly service myself but I have received nothing but the best service at their store and they get my pool running again when something breaks.
Don't waste your time, money, and sanity!.
I have to preface this review by saying that I am not someone that judges people harshly. I usually look for the positive and give people the benefit of the doubt. Having said this, I have to admit that I have absolutely NEVER received such awful customer service from any single business in my life.
My family installed our salt water pool almost 10 years ago now and have loved it. We started using Nashville Pool Company because at first they seemed like a nice company with reasonable prices but boy were we wrong.
The employees were unreliable and obstinate. We would ask that the filters be cleaned and they would come up with excuses. The only thing they would do willingly (and that's being a little generous) is skim the pool. After a little while of using their less than stellar services, we found out that they had been putting chlorine in our salt water pool. When we asked why they had done this, they responded that the filters were clogged and so they just put in the chemicals. Why wouldn't they just clean the filter then? It cost us over $1K to fix their mistake.
If this was the only mistake they had made then I would probably have stuck with them (despite the size and cost of their mistake).
We had also noticed that we were being billed for service calls that the company never made and when we would call to fix the charges the company was always rude and would never offer to correct their mistake, insisting that their men had come on a day we had been in the backyard from morning to night. So we must have just missed the strange man coming into our backyard while we were gardening to clean the pool in which the kids were swimming? Yeah, that must have been it...
The last straw was my mother asking them to clean the filters one day and the man saying he didn't have the correct cleaner chemical to do so. My mother had a small bottle of the cleaner needed in the garage so she brought it out and asked him if he could clean it with this. It was the same cleaner they had used in the past and after some grumbles and complaints he finally cleaned the filters quickly. When we got the bill for this cleaning we saw that among the charges was the filter cleaner chemical.
We called Nashville Pool Co to straighten out the mix up and the receptionist was extremely rude. She told us that we were liars and that we had no proof. I cannot BELIEVE any legitimate business would treat a customer like this. After yelling on the phone with us for a little while she hung up telling us that her guy was right and if we didn't pay up she would sent a collection agency after us. We were never allowed to speak with the owner or manager and instead treated like criminals.
I paid the bill, of course, but I am still left with a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully my review will prevent someone else from falling prey to this awful company.
Good prices Great service. I was reading the other comments and wanted to say something positive. Too many people that may have an “issue” are always willing to overindulge a bad encounter. So I am going to be the minority and say something nice for a change. These guys have worked hard for me in the past and have done a great job taking care of my pool. The prices are competitive. (Just call around and you will find out that they are one of the cheapest for service and do not demand a yearly contract like most.) Always willing to answer questions, great service and friendly.
Nashville Pool Company. Nashville Pool Service has done a great job for me. They came out opened my pool and got things looking great for an early summer event and have kept it clean and functional all summer. Last fall as the leaves began to fall they came out before a storm and covered my pool and shut it down for the winter. They have been very dependable, courteous and always available for questions and advise. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pool service.
Very bad customer service.
This company fosters rude behavior.
I encountered one of their service men while running errans and he was yelling obsenities at me to get out of his way. He nearly ran me off the road. When I called the company, located in Bellemeade to let the owner know, they acted like it was my fault and proceeded to tell me how bad a driver I was, that I had an anger problem, and I shouldn't be on the road at all. That I was a danger to others. They denied the obscene language and single digit hand gesture from the worker.
I was shocked, will never use their service, and never recomend them to anyone.
I don't know how people come off being so rude and then blaming others.
Looks like other postings have had bad service and bad behavior.
Worst customer service experience. I used Nashville Pool Company to cover my pool. They did a very poor job and could not manage to cover my pool well. The first thing that I noticed was that they charge more than what other pool companies here in Nashville would charge. I thought I will get a better service for the money I paid but I was wrong .... I asked them to come and fix the cover, however, the owner claimed that it is our mistake and not theirs and he was trying to convince me that it was my mistake. I hate it when somebody thinks I am stupid and tries to convince me that it is my mistake when it is not .. I will never use Nashville Pool Company again because their customer service is very poor and they are very expensive.
pool service that. I would like to finish with a vulgarity, but will refrain. Avoid these guys and find a real pool service with more knowledgable people. Lots of unkept promises made to me with high priced chemical buying the only conversation ever carried out that anyone associated with Nashville Pool showed an interest in. Definitely problematic attitudes in store and almost impossible to get to come check a pool. I educated myself and found the same products for much lower prices in multiple places in Nashville. I agree with the assessment of shody work, condescending attitude and most importantly I came away with the sense of not being cared about. I had bought a house with a pool that needed analysis and work but these guys were not interested in doing anything but suggesting lots of chemicals and an occasional water analysis with me to figure out the rest. Truly a mystery how they stay in business.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DOES NOT SUPPORT TROOPS OR SERVICE MEMBERS FAMILIES!.
I returned from Iraq in JAN 2007. Last JULY 2006 when came home for 2 week R&R leave my wife got TERRIBLE service from Nashville Pool Company. Rude servicemen, shoddy work that had to re-done, and a large sum of money thrown down the toilet sums up what type of business is being conducted.
I imagine whoever came to the house had this in his head: large house in rural area, single female, lots of dogs, Gee, I gonna rip this woman off!
Everything they did from fixing the leak in the pool light, that leaked soon after they left, to the PVC work near the filter motor, all had to be re-done.
I find this out after the fact when this summer MY WIFE AND I got our pool cleaned, and up and running ourselves. My wife had the brains to not tell me about it during my 2 weeks off, b/c R&R stands for something, unlike whatever claims to the work Nashville Pool Co. says.
I will always tell this story when someone asks about our pool.
