Genesis Roofing

Non-Christian. If you are looking for a good roofing company in the mid-south Genesis Roofing should not be your choice. I have personally seen this company lie to and cheat their customers as well as their employees. The owner and his sons are the worst they will lie for their own benefit at the drop of a hat. I have seen more Genesis roofs leak than I can count. They are loyal to noone, not even their employees. They have ruined their reputation as a residential roofing company and they are well on their way of doing that to the commercial aspect as well.

I have seen their work ethic and roofing practices and I would not hire Don Herron and his company to roof a bird house.

One good thing about them is that their repair division is booming (it's too bad that it is repairing their own roofs).

They should take the crosses off of their trucks as they only pretend to be Christian to benefit the company.…

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of the Roofing Company. Beware!!!! Beware!!!!! This has got to be the worst roofing company ever. They subcontracted to a bunch of unskilled laborors, cut holes in our building when it was raining. Left holes un- covered. Roof has leaked and destroyed drywall which they say they are not responsible.

Buyers Beware!!!. We chose Genesis because we attended church with the founders, owners and salesmen. I knew better than to do business with church relations but decidec to give it one more chance. The crew was probably all illegals. None of them spoke English. We told the salesman to replace any bad wood.The front part of our home is logs and was built in 1820.The roof, plumbing, electrical and other things had been upgraded to the latest materials. The roof decking was not plywood. It was 2" thick, 6" wide tongue and groove boards.The workers said they found a bad place beside the skylite in our bathroom.They began cutting a hole 8' by 4' in the roof so they could install a sheet of plywood.My wife screamed at them for a long time before she could get them to stop.They understood no English.She finally got them to understand that she wanted them off the roof and to call their supervisor.He finally came and saw that the "bad" spot wasn't so bad and was only a couple of inches and could have been patched without destroying the roof. I came home from work to calm my wife down and to see what was going on. I told the supervisor I wanted to speak to the owner of the company, my "church friend". He came out and I told him I wanted the wood his workers had destroyed replaced by the same quality wood.He finally found some like it and replaced the damage. The workers shoveled the old shingles off onto our shrubs, killing most of them.It has been some time and we are still picking up roofing nails and scraps of shingles.They extended the edge of the shingles almost all the way over the gutters.I can hardly get the leaves out of the gutters.The gutters were installed by a "friend" of the Genesis people. The same quality and workmanship was applied to the gutters. They are not worth putting up. They cut out some downspouts and the gutters do not drain good.The gutters are not slanted right and run over in a heavy rain. We have complained many times to no avail. One of their people came out and finished the job a couple of months later but he did not have the time nor help to make things right.He apologized for the poor work.He told us the shingles we got were not used any more and were not what we paid for. A couple of years later, another friend from church left his job and went to work for Genesis as a "trouble shooter" to go back and clean up the mess made by the workers and to "patch up relations" with the Genesis customers. I was happy that we finally had someone to help us. I explained the problems we had and the friend told me that he heard the same stories a lot. He gave me his card and said he would be over to look at our home. I have yet to hear from him. I wouldn't let this company put a roof on a dog house. Please don't fall for their Christian Front. They are a scam company using illegals and they do bait and switch on their materials and work. The only good thing about this experience is that I have finally been broken from using "church friends" for any services.…

Don't be fooled. We did not have a glowing experience with Genesis Roofing. After the contract was signed they called and said the price had gone up several hundred dollars because of the rising oil prices. We did ignorantly agree to the higher price. The time and day was agreeed on for the work to begin. Then they arrived unannounced two weeks early. When told they were scheduled with us two weeks later, (we had to arrange financing) they said they needed to do it now. Again, we made a mistake and let them do the work, but told them again we could not pay for the roof for at least two weeks. It started raining and the workers left (no supervisor on the site) and did not clean up anything that day, which was a Saturday. Two people at our place stepped on nails and one person got a flat tire that day. I called the emergency number for Genesis roofing and no one answered nor called me back after I left a message. The workers returned on Sunday and worked all day and finally cleaned up most of the mess but not all. We still picked up lots of trash ourselves. We had also contracted for gutters which they did not come back and install for 3 more weeks although they demanded payment and made several phone calls to us about paying before the gutters were installed. But I think the worst part was that they overordered about $500 worth of shingles and supplies which they left on site for several weeks. We paid for those extra supplies and they came to pick them up when they knew we would not be there. I called them to see if they had picked them up which they admitted they did. When I asked for a refund of $500 for the overcharge of the materials they essentially stole from us, they said they did not issue refunds. So beware, don't let the name and their website fool you into thinking they will conduct business in a Christian manner.…
