Horrible
by vikonia
I'll admit, I was going for the cheap "$6.99 Carryout" special that's in coupon magazines and painted on their window. But I had to open the box to see if there was even a pizza in there! It was paper thin with hardly and cheese and if my "Mushroom Pizza" had a mushroom tidbit per slice, I was lucky. Hadn't been there in many years and had remembered what a treat it used to be to get pizza from there... but compared to rivals close by (Pizza Perfect) that offer similar coupons - was a complete waste.
- Pros: Cheap
- Cons: little cheese and the search party still out for the topping
Obie's is not what it used to be.

It is not convenient for me to go Obie's on a regular basis so today was the first time in a really long time. I knew something had changed when I walked in at lunch time and there was only one other customer. The next clue was that it took 40 - 45 minutes to get my pizza after it was ordered. Then appearance and taste told me the rest of the story. The sauce tasted like tomato sauce right out of the can. The cheese was not the best quality it used to be and only half as much. The crust though was really good. I must have missed the news that it had changed hands, that is the only explanation for such drastic changes. Will the original owners please come back! I am really disappointed that I will have to cross Obie's off my list.
I am a converted Obie guy - are you coming back?

Best pizza in town. Pricey but worth it. Went away 6/07 to 'refinish floors' and have not returned. Hope they make a comeback.
- Pros: best pizza in town
- Cons: are you reopening?
