I found my custom jeweler. I found Jay through nashville reviews on the internet when I needed a jewler to remake my lost, sentimental wedding ring. From the start, his customer service was appreciated. He helped me handle my insurance claim before I even had a formal arrangement with him. That was what made me feel extreemely comfortable chosing him be the designer of my new ring and Im so glad I made the right decision!

He and his wife Adriane, made my husband (and two young daughters) feel like family friends. He has an "aire" about him that didn't turn me off; rather, made me feel good knowing he took extreme pride in his work. Both Jay and his wife educated me on gems and understanding how to recognize a quality diamond. When he talked about his work, he always had a smile on his face. He loves what he does and knows his work is special. That was evident in the quality of my ring. It has a fresh level of sentiment to it that only Jay could have added..

I have a new Jewler for Life. When I make big ticket or important purchases I tend to try and do a lot of research. I am glad I did because in my search for custom engagement rings I found Jay and Adriane. When I was thinking about popping the question to my fiancé I had an idea of what she wanted but I wanted it to be a surprise. I went to many of the mall/chain type places and to be honest I thought they had junk. Then I went to where " I have a friend in the Diamond etc" and while they had good quality it just wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Then I went to where the " Accent is on etc" and they had rings similar to what I was looking for and the diamonds were of quality and value but the settings cost were higher than I was expecting and while close to what I thought she wanted it wasn't exactly right.

Now how can I say some were junk and some were of quality and value am I some sort of gemologist? No but I did do some research on diamonds and then I went to Jay. Jay spent a great deal of time explaining to me the differences in the 4Cs now while I had some knowledge it is far better when and expert shows and teaches. Jay was patience and worked to answer my questions, and told me to look around and that is exactly what I did. After going out and looking I quickly ran back to Jay to help me make the perfect engagement ring.

I work out of town a bunch and my schedule is not the easiest to accommodate but Jay and Adriane were able to fit me in every time I needed to meet with them. Jay and I met over about a three month period where I brought him pictures of my fiancé and they asked question like did she work outside, did we have kids, etc. They did this so they could help with the design and make this a wearable durable ring that would look as beautiful as my future wife. Once we had and idea of how she would wear it and kind of what I was looking for we worked on design elements that she had mentioned that she wanted. I can say that the ring is beautiful and that everyone that sees it gushes about what an amazing ring it is. It was such a perfect ring that my fiancé wanted to meet both Jay and Adriane and is so looking forward to designing her wedding band. For my wedding band I am using my Father's band and Jay was able to add engraving and filigree work to mach her ring. All I can say is by the end of it I had a amazing ring, a jeweler and friend. The best part was I didn't have to pay any more that if I had just picked one out from a store, but instead of a cookie cutter ring I got a one of a kind masterpiece.

Incredible jeweler, craftsman and wonderful people. Jay and his wife Adriane treated me - a novice buying an engagement ring for my now fiancee - like I was their most important customer and made me part of the process the entire way. They were passionate about the design, explained the process to me, and made me a part of the process as we examined, weighed and decided the color of my mom's engagement diamond, which became the centerpiece of the new diamond. They told stories, shared experiences, and made it a joy each time I visited them. For such pros, I was pleasantly surprised by their patience and care for someone new to buying jewelry.

The end result was an absolutely WONDERFUL experience and a truly unique engagement ring that makes me fiancee absolutely sparkle. I didn't go to "box" store - I had the joy of working with a craftsman for this important item.

There's really no other alternative to J. Yontef - if you care enough to buy something special for someone important to you, then do it right and work with Jay.

Incredible Jeweler and Designer. Jay has an amazing knowledge of diamonds and knows exactly how to get what you are looking for. My experience was incredible. Not only did I get exactly what I wanted in a custom made ring, I also learned what I was doing in the process. I highly recommend working with Jay.

Best Jeweler in Nashville bar none. Jay and Adrienne Yontef are a breath of fresh air in the Jewelry business. I ran into so many shady salespeople in my search for an engagement ring; and even at stores with great or well known names in Nashville. I was a little concerned about pricing through a custom jeweler, but I did my research and went to several other stores to compare everything from price/quality/cut/trade and everything else. Not only do the Yontefs have better quality jewelry than anyone else, they are competitive or even slightly cheaper than some big name stores. Jay has access and demands the highest quality stones for his customers. Jay sent back a few diamonds for me because they werent up to his standards. He wants the best quality every time for his customers so that they keep coming back. Believe me, he has by far the best quality stones you can buy.

As business people you will not find more honest folks than Jay and Adrienne. I backed up everything they said and with personal research and against other jewelry stores both online and in town. Jay treats you fairly, and straightforward from the very start. They put absolutely zero pressure on you to buy. Its almost as if they do it for a hobby and you can tell they clearly like helping people. You could go in there 5 times and not buy something, and I have a feeling they would be OK with that. They want you to be 100% satisfied no matter what.

My advice would be to have a style or something in mind before going in. Adrienne is an award winning designer but sometimes its hard to picture what you want on your finger without seeing it actually on there. She will help you with everything if you need help designing. My fiance actually changed her mind a month after wearing her ring so we exchanged it. It was an expensive switch but Jay and Adrienne were both very understanding and more than fair in the exchange.

I would recommend going to the Yontef's to anyone. I wish I would have found them sooner in my search for a ring. I will be going back to them for anything and everything related to jewelry. I might even go back for a chat because they are such nice people...

Beautiful jewelry and wonderful customer service!. My fiancé designed my engagement ring with Jay and his wife, and it is absolutely beautiful! From the very first time I met Jay and his wife, to learn how to clean my new ring, I felt like I was chatting with old friends. My fiancé and I worked with Jay again to design our wedding bands and we couldn’t be happier! It was a wonderful experience during one of the happiest times of my life and I would recommend J. Yontef Diamonds & Custom Jewelry to anyone.

Incredible, Can't Go Wrong. Jay and his wife are absolutely incredible in so many ways. You are able to privately meet with them in an atmosphere that is not intimidating. I was looking to get an engagement ring for my girlfriend and the first thing he did was ask me all about her so he could get to know her better as well. After finalizing the design of the ring, Jay "took me to school." He taught me so many things about diamonds, even extra specifics that other places will fail to mention to you. After learning all about it, we were able to find the best diamond within my budget and the ring was created well within my time limit.

I initially visited other ring places and felt very intimidated and cornered. I loved my experience because he was all about establishing a relationship. That, combined with an incredible reputation and a professional approach, he is a no brainer for me to recommend him to anybody.

A Dream Come True. I met Jay last year when my daughter needed an appraisal done on her engagement and wedding rings which were custom made in another city. She was looking for a jeweler who would not require her to leave her rings and after reading about Jay on Citysearch, she made an appointment. Jay was most professional in providing the appraisal so when my husband started looking for the watch of his dreams, I immediately recommended Jay. Jay was able to find the exact watch, "preowned", in perfect, like new condition with all the original packaging. The watch looks as if it has never been worn. In addition to the watch being of such outstanding quality, Jay and his wife Adriane made our visit very enjoyable. By the time we left we felt as if we had celebrated a special occasion with old friends. Two other things worth noting - the price was extremely fair and Jay and Adriane are very supportive of our military. We highly recommend Jay Yontef.

Awesome Service!!!. Jay and Adrien do it right! My wife wanted a mother's ring for Christmas. Not wanting to go to a big jeweler (they tend to have low quality gems) I binged for a jeweler in the Nashville area. Jay's name came up. I read the reviews and decided to visit him and check out what he has. I have bought jewelery around the world: diamonds in Haifa to sapphires in Thailand to pearls in Spain. Jay easily rates with the best of them. We decided on a mount and then he found me the gems i wanted. He recommended the cheaper emeralds and they look great! The wife is happy and therefore I am happy. You can not go wrong with Jay and Adrien, they will take care of you and treat you right.
