They aren't reading the reviews!. After reading the reviews, I thought "well, let me find out for myself." I can tell you as of September 2010, they still have a long, long way to go. I have left two messages with a person and a machine just trying to find out if they offer service at a certain location. I understand they have to check this out with a technician. I don't know, I just thought they could look at some files, a data base or something. You know, 21st century stuff. Their "connection" with the public (STC that means monthly revenue for you) is non-existent. I will go with satellite!

Not Worth the Money. Having cable for years I switched to satellite tv. So impressed by the picture quality and overall value I decided to get in the business.It makes me feel great when a new customer activates and thanks me for saving them from cable. I like helping people who were once like me, so my store number is 931-680-0068. Just ask for Matt and if i'm unavailable anyone is happy to help. WE ARE THE LOCAL PROS! I have posted this for anyone who is disturbed with their current service or service techs.
starting to get bad again.
We have had this cable for 20 years, except for when we went to utc for their digital-dsl package. I didn't want to go back to stc because they were quite rude and incompetent several years ago.
I called and left messages about cartoon network twice with no response and finally got 'betty' who I also thought was quite rude--yea--we're working on it. Any other channels out.
I want satellite,but not thru them.
Small town cable is the worst. I have this cable and they stink. I would use other words but this site won't let me. The people who work there are rude. And now they cut out the only channel we watch, cartoon network and they have an attitude of "Oh freakin well" I hate this cable company and if I find another cable company I will switch. That or go to sat. Stay away from this cable company, you won't like them.
Landowners beware!!. They will trespass and destroy your property without any legal rights! Dont let them get away with it!
I Use To Work There For 3 Months. Well, as an ex employee at Small Town Cable, maybe to those who is in the area of Small Town Cable, i'm the asian guy and only asian guy that worked at Small Town Cable. There were only 2 Technicians at the time and please don't blame us (The Technicians) for it. We tried our best to give customers good service, but the tools we were workign with and the whole system was bad and the CEO did not want to hear our suggestions on how we can give the customers better service. The service in Chapel Hill is actually the best service along with College Grove.
Does NOT offer any internet services; bad communication. STC does not offer any type of internet service. They claim that they plan to at some time in the future. They only offer Cable television and its a small number of channels that are offered. Other cable companies, although they want to, are not allowed to offer services to this area; STC has some kind of control over the rights to the area. Also seems very difficult to speak with anyone from the company. The phone system is automated, you can leave a voice message but representatives do not return calls.
