Great office staff - Great bedside manner – I had been going to a highly rated dentist in the area - but with 3 kids found it hard to get an appointment where I didn't have to pull my kids out of school and lose office time in my own school. On the days I could work things out he was in one of his two out of town offices. I finally gave up and in frustration went to this office. They are renovating the complex and it about to be even nicer. They worked with me to get in when I could and were quick to call when there was a cancellation that worked out to an even better time - unlike my previous dentist.
My girls (9,5, and 4) were made comfortable by the staff, and Dr. Templeton could not have been more patient and nice. She even performed the ceaning on one of my girls herself to help speed up the vist - which with young children is imporant. Dr. Templeton also made sure they were each able to participate and learn from the visit.
Dr. Templeton does hospital visits on Fridays- I know because I asked during my initial vist to the office to look at things myself. I have had nothing but positive experiences so far.
If good beside manner is what your looking for, Go elsewhere cause you won't find it here. – The review by Jennifer1213 described Dr.Templeton perfectly. My daughter had pain in her mouth and it was in her temperoralmandibular joint so I not seeing anything obvious took her to her pediatrician to see if it was something else, nothing they could do. So I decided to call Dr.Templeton's office first thing in the morning to see if she could be seen. The office is closed on Fridays and has a message to page for emergency. I paged Dr.Templeton and she was prompt in returning my call. She says to me if you had called yesterday we could have seen her then (really no I like hearing my child cry in pain, I waited to call until today because I knew your office was closed smartblank) I say well I didn't know you were closed on Friday. Anyways she calls in a prescription for my daughter for an antibiotic and says to bring her in on Monday, I decided against giving her the medicine until she was seen because I didn't want to give her unnecessary medication. So Monday comes around and she is looking in my daughters mouth digging in her tooth of which the filling had come out on with the pointy hook thing, yeah and when my daughter starts crying because of the pain she has triggered. She tells her she is fine and she is just looking and that doesnt' hurt???? So she is crying out of pleasure. She then has an x-ray done of her mouth and it seems she has an abscess in her root and Dr. Templeton says if you had given her the antibiotic we could have pulled her tooth today, but since you didn't we will have to reschedule the tooth pulling. I was so angry she tried to make it my fault, the year previously my daughter also had an abscess and cavity on the other side of her mouth and she had no problem working on her then. I think she just wanted to punish me for not filling her prescription. She is a blank and I will not return to her again and I would advise anyone who looks for good beside manner for their child to go elsewhere.
rude and condescending – Dr. Templeton does not understand the special needs of children. She lacks sympathy and is not only rude at times, but has a condescending air. Her uncouth mannerisms are overshadowed by a perky, happy go lucky facade. However, her patronizing demeanor eventually showed its ugly head. I was extremely disappointed with not only her bedside manner, but also her dental work. It appalls me when individuals who work in the medical field put on such airs. Our medical proffessionals should respect their patients as individuals. There is no place for arrogance in the medical field, especially when working with children! I highly recommend finding a different pediatric dentist and am very displeased with the unprofessionalism I experienced.
