Best Tex Mex in the opinion Of a Texan
by CSMobileUser2
Friendly service- hands down best margaritas, beats the ever-loving pants off of las palmas. The best you could expect from Nashville as far as authenticity. Tasty food- better drinks.
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Were do I start... I work downtown and this was my first visit to Fiesta Mex. The salsa was horrible and you only get a little small bit and thats it, if you ask for more it never comes. I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas and there was not even enough to make 2 fajitas. The portion of refried beans was litterally 3 forks full?? The rice was the same and I am not exagerating. It seemed like all the portions were just cut in half. My co-worker ordered a chicken burrito with chicken and cheese only. She was very specific... it showed up with peppers onions beans red sauce. She just sat and ate it. We all agreed it was over priced, not very tasty, and very skimpy portions. I know its a recession but this type of service will just drive customers away. Service was ok. We only saw him once. We didnt have much food to eat so we were in and out in 15 mins! We left hungry and disappointed. Will not visit again.
- Pros: seated quick...
- Cons: Alot
Chincy on Salsa

Two years ago when I worked downtown I loved this place. It had a great atmosphere and the salsa was some of my favorite in Nashville. I re-visited today and was sorely disappointed by downhill the restaurant has gone. First, it is a terribly cold day here in the Music City and the restaurant was freezing. Our server brought our chips and salsa and instead of the usual unlimited salsa our initial cups, one for each of us, brought to the table were filled below half full. We each asked for additional salsa and it took quite awhile to get the refill. I ordered a taco salad and the salad and shell were smaller than you usually see, including the chain mexican restaurants. The flavor was average at best.
I was very disheartened as this used to be a favorite staple downtown. I would avoid it unless you absolutely were starving and had no other alternative. I noticed the restaurant wasn't near as full as it used to be and no one ever seemed to have to wait. I presume it is under new management or ownership and overall they need a major overhaul.
- Pros: Easy to get in; no wait
- Cons: Chincy on salsa; restaurant was freezing
