Illinois-based drugstore chain serves neighborhoods with fully stocked stores and modern amenities..
In Short
Founded in 1901 in Chicago by Charles R. Walgreen Sr., this neighborhood pharmacy has grown to be one of the nation's largest drugstore chains. Each store carries 25,000 different items--from cleaning products to electronics and greeting cards. Store features include a computerized system connecting pharmacies nationwide via satellite, grocery-store food aisles, one-hour photofinishing and an automated phone system for prescription refills and pre-arranged pickup times. Other services include in-store flu shots and childhood immunizations.
soooo not impressed. I have been a contented Target pharmacy customer for 10 years. When I moved to Nashville I switched to this Walgreens because it's close to where I live. But there are things that are more important than convenience. I am a veterinarian, and I've never treated someone with the disrespect and shoddy service I've received at this Walgreens. The first time I went it was to receive pain medication for a bladder infection. The tech was condescending and the medication wasn't even in stock. What's with the condescension? Is it because people are more at risk for bladder infections with frequent coitus? Are you jealous or something? On top of that I asked them not to call in the pain meds from elsewhere, because I said I'd be recovered by the time it arrived. But they did anyway and then gave me a hard time for not picking them up. The next time I went was for a prescription for acne medication, and I was told that there was a problem with my insurance, which resulted in an apparent $365 charge for my ziana prescription. I was told to come back the following day so they could correct the situation. The next day I went back with $40 in coupons, and the pharmacist acted like I had a lot of nerve trying to get $40 more off my prescription after he'd gotten my insurance issue worked out. When I went back the next day they had misplaced my coupons and when they located them, they still hadn't been applied to my prescription. The Target pharmacists are respectful and I'd rather give my money to Target than Walgreens any day.
pathetic excuse for a pharmacy...IDIOTS.
the pharmacists are more incompetent that the McDonalds employees on Gallatin rd....pathetic, lazy, slow, stupid and not even the slightest interest in communicating with you or each other...I went to Pharmacy school and I know what loser squares the "advisors" try to mold you into...its amazing any of Walgreens employees graduated...I have been getting my script filled there for 3 years now...and I WILL NEVER EVER set foot in, or spend 1 thin dime at any Walgreens ever again..only in an emergency will i enter to take a dump or steal something and then throw it away outside in the garbage can.a simple refill that should take 5-10 minutes has grown to a 2 or 3 day ordeal...and my doctor has to call the morons 3 fuc#ing times and his nurse calls once and the script faxed...and even then, they act like they are doing me a GOD DAMNED favor....sometimes I have to go back there 4 or 5 different times just to get my fill complete...I have other things to do....like important things and cooperating and making people happy and working together with people to make this a better society, not treat someone like feces because of the medication they have to take...Im pretty sure you don't treat your insulin patients like youve treated me for 3 years...
goodbye felchers
