rude and think their ink is made from gold or something. I called them to ask about pricing and to make an appointment and they were rude. I decided to stop by anyways (even though they wouldnt tell me a price) and they wanted to charge me $140 for two simple stars that were like 2inches tall. It was my first tattoo but i thought that was a little steep so i called up another shop, archangel and they charged me $50 for both stars and they were incredibly nice and my stars look great. theyre even and look good.

DON"T GO HERE. I was calling around tattoo places to find out prices. When I called Ink Gallery, a man answered and made me feel ridiculous for the questions I was asking. When he could tell I was offended, he just laughed and said "it was a silly question".

I will never step foot in that shop.

Best Tats in town. this is hands down one of the best shops I've been in this whole country. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have spent hours just talking to the clerk helping me with ideas, answering questions, and giving suggestions.

david, the artist is the best work in town without a doubt. he has tatooed me and my husband and friends many many times. his work is not even close to other artist in town, and the experience of getting a tatoo was pleasant. i realze that the artist need to focus and concentrate, however, he went out of his way to converse with me and make me feel comfortable. even besides being an artist, over the years he has become a friend and a great person overall.

Also David is the piercer and has done 3 piercings for me. he did my breasts and I was nervous to be so naked in front of him. by the time it happened, i was completely comfotable. even with my shirt off, i felt he was as professional as a doctor. i didn't feel like he was even looking at me in that respect.

Jayne was an artist that used to be in that location and moved to different store in Madison and she also did work for me and was great.

The clerk/intern (Ally)is now doing tatoos and I have plans to have her tatoo me soon. she is such a sweetheart and so helpful. I have been in the shop waiting for David and heard lots of her customer interactions and she is nice and as helpful as she can be. I have seen her go out of her way to find material for customers. I see that there are some reviews saying that she has been rude, and that is unfounded. I have actually been witness to customers being extremely rude and talking down to her and she stood up for herself.(respectfully) i would expect nothing less. I treat others the way they treat me. And I hope most of you agree with me. Just because you are a patron of a business does not mean that you can treat them as badly as you want and expect for the person not to stand up for themselves. no.

so, basically, if you are reading those reviews and thinking, wow, those people are jerks, well, please don't be so close minded. Listen to the ones of us who are regular clients who go to no other shop because I find all the professionalism and great work right there and there is no need to look elsewhere.

Expert work and friendly service. I took a chance walking into the Ink Gallery on Black Friday and was greeted by a very friendly guy behind the counter. We chatted a bit and I gave him the tattoo design I had brought with me. He took it and spoke briefly with the artist, David, and then returned to the counter to continue our conversation.

Minutes later I was in David's chair getting work done on a very sensitive area, but David's touch was easy and painless!

I walked out of the shop very proud of the new work I had on me and pleased with the treatment I received at the shop. Ink Gallery II on Elliston Place will be my first stop for any future tattoos!

Beautiful Art By Beautiful People!. I have gotten three tattoos from the Ink Gallery over the last few months. I have been nothing but amazed at the quality of the work I have received. The staff is friendly and helpful and the studio is exceptionally clean. The atmosphere is exactly what one would expect when walking into a tattoo shop.

I just got home from the Ink Gallery and I am already thinking about my next tattoo. I can't wait to go back and get more beautiful art from the talented professionals that work at the Ink Gallery 2.

These people are awesome. I've read some of the reviews here and let me say, maybe artists aren't the most social and out-going people around. They might be quiet and introverted and VERY FOCUSED ON ART! So I have to say that maybe the other reviewers don't understand that.

Walking in the door you are engulfed by art, wall to wall, floor to ceiling. And not just flash, but real art painted and made by real artists in the Nashville area (like the artists in this shop). The counter girl is very friendly and helpful and when I met with the artist for the first time we discussed my design and the bigger plans I had for tattoos down the line. The guy wasn't very talkative (neither was I) but the work was impeccable and I was perfectly at ease the entire time.

The next time I was needing a tattoo I went right back to Ink Gallery 2 and the same guy did my work. We chatted more this time because we were familiar with each other. Perfect piece and I was in and out in less than an hour for a reasonable price.

If you want a great tattoo, go to the Ink Gallery 2 across from the Gold Rush bar. Get a great tattoo and then go have a drink and show it off.

A Class Act Tattoo Shop in Nashville. I was apprehensive about getting tattooed by any other than my favorite artist up north (from which I came) until I saw the work of David Hoffman. He came highly recommended by trusted friends with amazing work done by him. I first got large tattoos just above my wrists on both arms by David. Both tattoos turned out so well I went back and had him do even larger pieces that now nearly cover my entire forearms.

His work is full of clean, steady lines and fine detail! I am very proud of the work I received at Ink Gallery II and highly recommend the studio to any and everyone that asks. Just a few weeks ago I filled the shop with folks I had steered their way and they all left just as happy as I am. I plan to get more work and it will be from David and the crew at Ink Gallery II on Elliston! Thanks David for the amazing art.
