The Best Filet Oscar I've ever had!!!. I don't mind driving far for a great steak but now I know I don't have to. Stoney River offers everything that you would expect out of some highend downtown restaurant but in the burbs. The service was personable, but not intrusive, and the glass of Treanna complemented my Coffee Cured Filet Oscar perfectly. My wife had the Lobster tail and it was delicious. We were too full for dessert but promised our server that we would return soon enough. I can't wait to go back. I know I'll want to try something different next time but I don't think I'll be able to pass up the Coffee Cured Filet Oscar.

Bottom line is - I paid less, drove less and had a great evening. Not sure how long they've been open but I wish I had tried it sooner. SIgned... new loyal customers

Overpriced chain. Basically, this is O'Charley's with dim light. OVERPRICED food, OVERPRICED wine list and mediocre service. If you are going to spend this kind of money then there are plenty of other good choices in this town that beat this place hands down. Chain or local. I hope this concept of high price and mediocrity doesn't become the norm in this town.

Worst Management Ever. Went to the restaurant while here on business as an associate is good friends witht he manager/owner? Don't know who he is but he was pompous, rude, and ignored us even after we told him we made a special trip in because of his friend. I have never been so frustrated or angry over mistreatment in my 60 years on earth but this did me in.

Our server picked up on this behavior and he did a fantastic job of trying to cover for his boss, but even he admitted to us that he had no excuse for it, even saying he's never there anyways.

The meal itself was delicious and the legendary steak is exactly as they say. The carmelized onions are fantastic!!! To our server, you are a fine gentlemen and thank you for taking care of us. If we ate desserts your offer of a free dessert was a touch of class. Will we ever return? No. I come to Nashville at least every other month and I'll go back to Morton's where I'm well known and taken care of!!! So much for helping out a friend.

Lodge Filet. I have been here many times, and out of all the times I have been, only one time was disappointing. I will say that I think that they have the best steak in the area. I always get the Lodge Filet cooked medium. Last time I went there it was under-cooked...weor at least I though, but what ended up happening was that they mixed up mine & my husband's filets. Anyway, I expect at a place like this to just cook me a new steak and not put the same one back on the grill. When you do that it just makes the meat tougher & it just ruins the steak. They brought my steak back out & it was a lot tougher. I did not enjoy it at all, and I was very disappointed to have paid that price and not recieve a new steak...afterall, it was not my fault.

Overall though I really do enjoy this restaurant.....and I really love the ambiance & atmosphere.

Good But Expensive. 2 glasses of wine, three ribeyes with salads, grilled shrimp dinner, one bud light and one mudslide, appetizer $200.81 (tip included)

Experience of a great restaurant - well worth it

It was great service, good food and a nice calming atmosphere. Not a place that I would go all the time, but for the special occassion, then I would def recommend.

Amazing steaks and service!. We had a refreshingly wonderful experience from the moment we walked in the door until the last drop of dessert! We took a chance on Stoney River on Valentine's Night, knowing it would probably be packed. My husband had called in advance and we were seated moments after we arrived! We have an excellent server, Angela, who wasn't pushy, but definitely attentive! We both had perfectly cooked steaks and the server?s suggested wine was a great combination of flavor. We became customers for life that evening and look forward to more reasons to head over to Stoney River Legendary Steaks!

Good Food but Long Wait and Pricey. We called in for the "priority seating" which they claim to seat you in 30 minutes if you call in & put your name on the list. So we were down for 8:00 which means we should have been in our seat by 8:30. We were not seated until 9:30 & there were also several other very unhappy couples who had been there longer than we had. If we had not been given a gift card for Stoney River we wouldnt have stayed. If we are paying for dinner, I refuse to wait more than a half hour for a table anywhere. I havent located food worth waiting longer for. But since we were using a gift card, we sat there and waited and waited and waited. We were seated in the "non smoking" section which happened to be a stones throw from the bar, where smoking is permitted. Like there's some invisible line that stops the smoke from entering the designated "non smoking" area. But anyway. The fireplace was lit which made for a lovely and cozy ambience. I ordered the prime rib but since we'd waited an hour and a half for a table they'd run out right before I ordered. So I was forced to quickly pick another option. I dont even recall which cut of meat I selected but it was seasoned with some kind of rosemary rub. I liked that when the server brought out our steaks she requested we cut them down the center to verify it was cooked like we wanted. Our steaks were delicious and the cesear salad was yummy. We also split a gigantic chocolate cake that came with two shots of milk (needed more milk). It was so rich neither of us could eat much at one time. We took it home and I ate on it three more times & my husband had two more deserts from it. It was very pricey on the front end but since it lasted us several days it was worth it. Our server was lovely and attentive until the end then it appeared that she also had to engage in her close up duties even though she still had patrons. We knew it was pricey going in but the food was good and we may return there for special occasions but not very often.

attentive service. I had lunch here last week and i must say, the service was lovely. I've only been in Nashville since March, and i find that servers always want to be my best friend. Not the case at Stoney River. My server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeabe, but at no time did she try to sit at the table. I found this a real plus. The food was very good, and the place had a quiet sort of elegance in that it wasn't cluttered with any type of memorabilia on the walls, it wasn't trying to be trendy. Just good food in a very conservative and almost masculine environment without feeling like a cigar bar. And again, wonderful service. Definitely a very good choice for a business lunch.

Great Steak. Glad to see stoney river getting some props around here. Ever since it opened in Cool Springs I have been a loyal customer. I have honestly never had a one bad experience eating at the restaurant.

I'd recommend starting with the lobster bisque and then ordering the beefsteak tomatoes and mozarella salad. For the main dish you can't go wrong with the filet with the tempura lobster tail on the side. Caramalized mashed potatoes are a great choice to go with your steak. I never made it to dessert so I can't help you there.

Enjoy the poppy seed bread bites they bring out, they are awesome.

Fantastic service, Steaks that you could cut with a butter knife.. My brother and I had the Cowboy Cut Bone-In Ribeye, and my wife and mother had the Center Cut Siroin. Everything was done to perfection. I hope you save room for desert.

There may only be five items on the desert menu, but they are increadible. The Creme Brulee was a delight for the pallet, as was the Stoney River Chocolate Fudge Cake a chocolate lovers dream. Jackie and Mathew provided flawless service.

This may be a little on the pricey side, but for special occations, it is well worth the cost.
