CBQ looking for Smokin' Ed's. Yes, Smokin' Ed's has amazing BBQ that makes it a hard act to follow. Just wanted to let readers know that Smokin' Ed's is still available in Tennessee! Smokin' Ed's BBQ, 732 Dolly Parton Parkway, Sevierville, Tennessee 37862. The food is the same slow smoked, hickory wood meat; but it is now in a large sit down restaurant in the Smokies.

A little pricey but EXCELLENT BBQ. I passed this place every day on may way to & from work & I finally stopped in to give it a try. It looks odd since it's a hole in the wall place on the shoulder of the road w/ only a smoker in the front but man is CBQ's GOOD. It's one of the best if not the best BBQ I've had from any BBQ place. The pulled pork there alone is good enough & juicy enough to eat plain & the sauces they have are pretty good too. The best part is that it's actually real BBQ sauce instead of the colored water & vinegar that almost all of other places in M'boro & Smyrna pass off as BBQ sauce. & for the last Idiot who knocked my favorite BBQ place b/c it's no longer Smokin Ed's, get a life & grow a brain since you are stupid enough to leave bad feedback for a place only b/c the place you liked is gone. Anyway, I do think that it is a little overpriced compared to the typical BBQ restaurant & they don't run any true specials - if the owner is reading this, no a dollar off a family pack instead of buying each separately is not a special. Although I think the place needs some daily specials or a coupon here or there for us to all work with, it's definitely worth the trip to stop in & try for their mouth watering pork & ribs.

For Quick BBQ. Actually, i was seeking out "Smokin' Ed's BBQ and they have moved out of the familiar location, I suppose. I went in to give it a try. They were nice and helpful. I asked about Smokin Ed's and I was told that it was under new ownership and management. My evaluation is that the ribs and bbq were not Smokin' Ed's. I also very MUCH miss Smokin' Ed's special Rub that was sold seperately. The ribs were also much smaller than I remember. While I am sure this CBQ has a loyal following, I will still be seeking out what used to be.......

Best BBQ in the state. By far, Smokin' Eds makes the best ribs and pulled pork in the biz. I especially love the sauce... I wish i could bottle it and sell it. It comes in mild to HOTTTT...and I LOVE the hot sauce. Perfectly balanced between vinegar and tomato...not too thick, not thin. The ribs make you wanna go home and smack yo' mama....
