Although often given a bad rap as a tourist trap, Rippy's works a formula--decent food, cold beer and colorful live music--that's as old as Nashville itself. The menu is a bit pricey for the portions, but staples like baby back ribs and pulled pork make a fine pregame feast.

The ribs were not at all tender, not moist and were tough! There is no real BBQ sauce applied, just an attempt to add a rub, an excess amount of red pepper and a cook process that rendered tough bones! I've had numerious ribs around the US and these are truly some of the worst for the ratings this place has. Service was also fairly poor. I would not recommend this place for BBQ when in Nashville.

I went to Nashville for a show, and before the show I wondered up and down Broadway taking in all the fun and kitschy shops. My friends and I thought that Rippys looked liked like a good place to eat so we went in. We stood there inside and was not greeted. We were ignored for a couple of minutes then finally seated. The hostess was nice, but our waiter was RUDE and very condescending towards all of us! He was in a hurry for us to order, and like I said he rude when we did place our order. I chose the bbq sandwich and I was horrified! Worst bbq I have ever had!! And from the time he took our order until the time we left, we never saw our waiter at our table again! Yes, we saw him ignore us and walk passed us really fast, but that was it. We sat there for 15 minutes waiting for our check, and had to have another waitress get his attention to give it to us, but he gave it to her to give to us instead of him walking it over! All in all, it was a horrible experience! I will NEVER go back and I advise others to be careful of their male waiters, because they are very RUDE, and the food was not good at all !!!!
Pros: Hot french fries?
Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE and HORRIBLE FOOD!!!!
