Editorial Review for Eurasia – by Suzanne Wright
The Scene
Eurasia is smashing by night--seductive and sophisticated with gossamer curtains, expensive lighting, soft muted colors, exposed brick walls and sensuous black and white flower photography. Soft jazz plays in the background, while a handsome bar invites pre-dinner drinks. Service is genial, but scattered: You may stare at gorgeous, empty plates far too long.
The Food
Artistically plated, creative specialties give an upscale nod to Southeast Asia. The black plate--a sampling of five appetizers--properly introduces the seafood-heavy menu. Minced chicken salad is tongue-tingling thanks for kaffir lime, ginger and scallions. Terrific filet mignon in an Indonesian curry sauce sits atop a plump noodle cake. Rice-battered sea scallops in a garlic peppercorn sauce are fat beauties that melt in your mouth. If you have room, the mango ice cream is a pleasing finish.

ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC. Growing up in the restaurant business, an avid gourmet food lover and preparer I can assure you this is one of the best “fusions” of taste you’ll experience. The entire experience from the dishes that make your taste buds explode to how the coffee was served will be an absolute delight. Eurasia is as good as or even better than Roy’s in Hawaii and the top “Fusion” / “Pan Asian”/ “Pacific-Rim” restaurants around but at a fraction of the cost. The BIG plus – wonderful, friendly, and enjoyable staff that will make you laugh and feel like part of the family. Make sure you ask for William.
Pros: EVERYTHING and a great price
Cons: NONE

We've been to Eurasia many times and have always enjoyed the ambiance, the music, and (above all) the food. The chef is very creative, creating the kind of fusion that the name implies. The decor, lighting, and music accentuate this fusion. Even the choice of bowls and plates (different for every dish) contributes to the feel. Eurasia makes a great romantic night out.
Pros: Great food that will surprise you; wonderful ambiance
Cons: A little pricey, but worth it
