In Short – The ultra-trendy Virago is part sushi bar, part late-night drink destination and part upscale restaurant. The middle room, with its cozy S-shaped bar, is a see-and-be-seen locale; the dark-blue walls and nouveau lighting in the rear dining room lend plenty of atmosphere. Seafood reigns supreme among the entrees, featuring the always-in-demand honey-banana grouper, the sesame-seared mahi mahi with sweet potatoes and tropical fruit salsa, and the seared scallops served over crab.
High prices, mediocre sushi, awful service

My party and I had a horrible experience at Virago. We waited nearly an hour and a half for our food, no apology from the waitress, no offer of discounted food or drinks... It was horrible! And when the food finally rolled around 90 minutes later, it was mixed up and nobody working there seemed to have any idea which was which! You'd think that with an hour and a half, they would have figured that one out... I'm never going here again!
- Pros: Atmosphere wasn't bad
- Cons: Awful service, Overpriced

My husband & I went here for Valentines. We were seated promptly (without a reservation). The waiter was terrible, however. He introduced himself and then proceeded to walk passed us numerous times for 15 mins. It was very irritating. The food did come in a reasonable time and the ambience was nice. It was just that stupid waiter. At least he gave my husband and I something to laugh about for the rest of the evening.
- Pros: Best sushi in Nashville
- Cons: Service

I was introduced to Viragos by a very dear friend of mine and I have been a fan since my first visit 3 years ago! Everyone that I have taken with me loves it as well. I go for the atmosphere and of course the SUSHI! My favorite roll is the YUM YUM roll, but last Wednesday I discovered another one that is AWESOME! You must have the Rising Sun, I know it is $20 for 6 pieces but it was money well spent. The fact it doesnt have rice in it makes it very light but it is packed with flavorful fish. Looking forward to going this summer when the windows are open and the cool breeze of the night is blowing thru!
- Pros: Fresh Sushi, Good Location, Variety on Menu
- Cons: Can have long waits if no reservations
